The room is tiny and quite old, I'd say that's just basic hotel room - okay for 1 night stay though!

Cleanliness, good breakfast, quiet location.

Has a reasonable price, great breakfast, great staff, has parking Parking fils up quickly. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy, close to the train station.

Nice, fancy looking hotel with friendly personnel. My room was an Ok size and it had aircondioner. The bathroom was nice too. One problem though: there is a bathtub, but no shower curtain or even a glass that would partially cover a space and prevent water hitting the floor. When I was booking this hotel, I’ve read that there is no public transport stops near by. As the result, I was walking from train station. It was almost 20 minutes walk. However, as I’ve learned, there is an available public transportation option. There is a bus stop not far from the hotel(with the hotel’s entrance behind you, go to the left towards roundabout. Turn left again- with roundabout is behind you. Cross the street and go left. Pass Yoshi (not sure whether it’s a store or restaurant) and there would be a pole, indicating a bus stop. It called Carnovali 95. Take bus 6 and ride it for 2 stops. Get off at 2nd stop - it called Paglia. Train station is kind of behind and across the street. If you are going to the hotel from the train station, with train station building behind you and a relatively wide street in front of you, go through the square in front of train station building, bear to the left, cross the street to get to that street and walk about 20 - 30 yards to the bus station. Again, take bus 6 to Carnavali stop(should be the second stop). Keep walking to the direction your bus went to, turn right at roundabout and hotel will be on your right(***DISCLAIMER: I didn’t took the bus to the hotel, so there is a chance that I’m wrong about it***).

The location - just off the Autostrada was initially foreboding. However, the most helpful staff made access to La Citta Alta easy by directing us to the bus station a short walk away. The classic "Olde World" hotel offered a clean and comfortable environment, a wonderful and comprehensive breakfast and value for money. Highly recommended.

Location fine as not far from train station. Rooms perfectly clean and everything worked, Breakfast was good. Rooms and decor a bit dated. Hotel a touch isolated from immediate cafes and resturants

Breakfast was great. The city center is within walking distance, and the bus station is nearby. There’s also plenty of parking. If you’re planning to go out for a late dinner, just keep in mind how you’ll get back to the hotel. The bath towels have a strong, unpleasant smell.

One of the problems was at breakfast. They should advertise a limited breakfast because when I ordered a third coffee I was told I had to pay for it. See above

The hotel was charming and unique, the people working there were extra pleasant, even for Italians! I liked everything there.

I may be new to things in bergamo, but the bath/shower didn't have a curtain haha.
