Breakfast and Dinner and the staff for the Restaurant (the breakfast and dinner one) all the other rooms were completely the opposite. Kids entertainment. The girl running it was very kind and cheerful. From the moment we arrived, we were met with rude and unhelpful staff. Unfortunately, the issues did not stop there. The room itself was in a shocking condition. There was a strong unpleasant odour, including what smelled like urine. The furniture was old, squeaky, and worn, with a noticeable stale smell. The bedsheets were dirty, bins were unclean, and it was evident that proper cleaning had not been carried out. The hallways and carpets were dirty and poorly maintained, with visible wear, rust, and unpleasant smells throughout the property. We paid £330 for this stay, which makes the experience even more unacceptable. The hotel was advertised as professional, high standard, and equipped with amenities including a pool and gym. This was a key reason for booking. However, the pool area smelled strongly of urine, and there were visible floating particles in the water, raising serious hygiene concerns. The gym was equally run-down and far below the standard presented in your marketing materials. The overall condition of the hotel was extremely disappointing and did not reflect the description or price point. We feel completely misled and that the amount charged was wholly unjustified for the quality provided.

Food and leisure centre Reception staff are dismissive, if they aren’t happy working in a busy hotel maybe it’s time to work elsewhere. Wish I had got the name who booked us in. Even though I was more than courteous and polite I was dealt with in a very abrupt manner. It’s a shame as it lets the whole hotel down. All the other staff in the restaurant and bar are lovely but the vast majority of reception staff quite clearly don’t like or has the prerequisite skills to deal with the public. I stay at this hotel often for business but will consider alternative accommodation due to this fact.

location was convenient for tram like going back 30 years in the past, restaurant set up was just odd, food was so so, room layout was odd with enormous step into the bathroom

Didn't like it when kids are allowed into the sauna and at buffet kids lifting food up then putting it back down again

Stayed with family just a few nights, looks nice from the outside, very fancy and worth the money as it has a swimming pool and 'games room' . Didn't sleep much as beds were too soft and pillows too hard...did request for softer pillows but they didn't appear. View was of drainage and brick walls but wasn't spending £100 more just for a seaview. Games room wasn't that great for my child. Weirdly the bedroom window was frosted but the bathroom window wasn't...won't be going back..sorry.

Foods always excellent with plenty choice SOME reception staff are very dismissive and you can be made to feel that you are an inconvenience as they can’t finish off their social interactions, this doesn’t go for all the girls, just the one that I always manage to cop for. The rest of the girls are lovely and the head porter (Tom) I think is a top guy, always pleasant and always busy.

The location. Night staff dealt with a disruptive couple very quickly when told about it. The restaurant times made us feel like we had to rush to eat our food rather than enjoy it. I didn't like how there weren't any times just for adults and babies to use the pool as the older kids weren't looking at what they were doing and nearly injured our baby when they dived into the pool and came back up at a weird angle. The pool isn't big enough for the amount of people using it and certain families hog it. TV is from the early 2000 by that I mean really low quality display y and small screen size it hurts to watch it for long. No way to contact staff if you've got a problem besides going to the reception every time, rooms should have a phone to make this easier to do. To get to the gym you've got to go right past the pool which can make the floor very slippery so it doesn't seem like something health and safety would be ok with. Hopefully they can make a safer way to access the gym area.
