We loved that tho hotel was on the sea front, how great the staff were, and the breakfast. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was not clean. There were stains on the bath, including around the taps, and the overflow was also dirty. The hot tap was loose and appeared to have silicone sealant around it, which did not look particularly well maintained. The heated towel rail was not working and had black electrical tape around it, which was concerning from both a maintenance and appearance perspective. The shower also intermittently went cold for a few seconds while in use. In the bedroom, the headboard was dirty and the mirror frame was stained. More generally, the décor throughout the rooms and landings was in need of a thorough clean and redecoration. Overall, the condition and cleanliness of the accommodation fell below the standard I would reasonably expect, and a number of the maintenance issues should be addressed.

The clean environment and the neatness of the room..

Stayed before so knew what to expect Finish in terms of paint and decoration makes it look rushed and not maintained.

Very old fashioned hotel, musty smelling.

Location and history was very good. Staff friendly Rooms and hotel in general were very tired and it felt a bit unclean. No air conditioning and windows didn’t open fully. Radiator in bathroom couldn’t turn off and this increased room temperature. Slightly annoyed to find out on the day I got there we could have got room way cheaper than what we prepaid for on Booking.com - felt a little “done” on that..Also no gym or pool despite suggestions on website there was one.

Everything actually went well. The room was very spacious, clean and bed was very comfortable. The staff members, including the housekeeping staff, were quite professional, friendly and helpful. My granddaughter really loves the decor of the hotel and key information placed around the bathroom was very informative. It would have been nice if there was a swimming pool within the premises. I had to take my granddaughter for a swim in a nearby hotel. However, we were told that the hotel had such facility until a few years ago. Maybe, this could be re-introduced.

It was clean On arrival the hotel room was not ready, it states it will be ready by 3 pm but it wasn't ready until 5pm, next morning the cleaner wanted access to the room at 8am but Blackpool does not open until 10am. Then we received a message about a burst pipe and they would be no hot water for 90 minutes there seemed to be one problem after another

The imperial is a beautiful old hotel. There really isn’t anything to complain about, our stay was very comfortable.
-
Location Filthy un hoovered floor. Black hairs in one of the beds and bathroom was cleaned half heartedly

Staff were lovely, especially as there was an issue with our first room. Moved quickly and with no issues. Everyone smiling and friendly. The evening menu in the restaurant, although tasty, we didn't feel warranted the £150 bill for the four of us. The starters weren't worth the price (£8 something for eight small cubes of watermelon) at all, and the mains we felt similarly about. The last time we stayed we ate in the bar, we felt that this was a better value for money all round.
