Great location, Staff, room, food and drinks were all outstanding. No wristbands for the all inclusive guests. Just give your room number to dine or drink.

The bed was comfy and room was clean, tipped $5.00 per day. Entertainment was okay. The staff goes above and beyond, with tips. Mini bar was restocked and I tipped $5.00 per day. Drinks were served constantly and everyone seemed to enjoy the fruit drinks, including the children. Shrimp tacos by the pool are the best food served outside. The Japanese restaurant had the best food overall. Breakfast buffet wasn't bad. A young man strolls through the pool area with a hawk to discourage black birds from bothering guests. ? The food wasn't very good and I'm not a foodie. Room service food was terrible! Pizza, nachos and seafood cocktail were awful. Presentation is nice, flavor is really lacking. The partial ocean view was 90% blocked by an awning below and palm trees. See photos. Sargassum kept the tiny beach closed every day we were there. The beach is so small equipment can't get in to clean it. It has to be hand shoveled and bagged, then hauled out through the pool area. The pool has partially been retiled with off color tiles, looks cheap, minor detail. The spa is outrageously expensive. The vanity area and bathroom don't have much privacy, glass wall and door. Important if you are traveling with children. We will not return because of the negative aspects. Too many things were wrong for the price. I rented 3 rooms for a party of 8. There isn't much for preteens or teens to do beyond swimming.

Nice restaurants, nice pools Few elevators and they are really slow, other guests using speakers

Our room was clean, well-maintained, and serviced regularly. The staff throughout the resort were excellent, attentive, and friendly. We especially appreciated the thoughtful anniversary gifts, including a bottle of champagne and a special dessert at one of the restaurants. Service at the pool area was excellent. One unique and enjoyable feature was watching a staff member walk through the pool area with a hawk to discourage black birds from bothering guests. It was both entertaining and effective. During our stay, a 4.2-magnitude earthquake occurred. The resort staff responded quickly by evacuating the buildings until they could be confirmed safe for occupancy. We were impressed by their professionalism and commitment to guest safety. The beach at this resort is very small, which prevents equipment from accessing it to remove the sargassum. As a result, it must be shoveled by hand, bagged, and hauled away through the pool area. Unfortunately, the odor from the sargassum was unpleasant, and the beach was under a red flag every day of our stay. We never used the beach, which was very disappointing. The food did not meet the quality or flavor expectations set by the resort's advertising. Presentation was good, but did not make up for actual flavor. Our "partial ocean view" room offered very little actual ocean view, as an awning directly below our balcony and several palm trees blocked approximately 90% of the scenery. The entertainment was adequate but not particularly memorable. The pool area could use some improvements, as portions have been retiled with mismatched colors, and one of the pools lacks stairs for exiting the deep end, making it dangerous. Accessibility around the pool area could also be improved for guests using wheelchairs or walkers. We traveled with our adult children and grandchildren, a group of eight. While the children enjoyed the jet ski rentals offered through Amstar Activities, there were few activities available for preteens beyond swimming. The jet skis were expensive. Overall, while we appreciated the excellent staff, clean accommodations, and safety procedures, we would not choose to return. We would prefer a resort with a more usable beach and a wider variety of activities for young teens and adults.

Nothing -just the location We booked this hotel for our stay at 4 am ( last minute ). We got there in the morning and to be honest I couldn’t even believe that this is one of the Hyatt hotels . Room was smelling so bad like a mold , the entire hotel is dirty starting from the windows , elevators , floors . Manager who was assisting us was extremely rude to us , careless and arrogant ( I managed high end places ur leader should never be like this guy ). We decided to move Hyatt Vivid instead , we simply couldn’t stay a one minute after seeing the dirt and smell in the room . They charged us almost 500 dollars even we booked it a few hours earlier and didn’t even use it . Terrible experience, terrible management I will write to their corporate . I never felt disrespected like I did at this place . I stay often at Hyatt this is embarrassing

The close beach and ocean was beautiful. The resort is small and I didn't have to do a lot of walking to get around. The resort was beautiful and the food was very good. Trying to reserve the hibachi restaurant was tough due to them having limited space.

    Somewhat run down

We loved the location. The shallow water was exactly what we were after. It was disappointing to not have a lot of beach, but at the same time it made the water so much easier to access. There were ample pools and space for swimming and that part never felt crowded. Easy access to room service which was always on time. Most staff were very friendly, but a few definitely were not having their best days. View was spectacular and easy walking distance to night clubs. Loved the smaller size as it easy to get to our room most do the time but the elevator wait was awful. Lobby and all restaurants were extremely clean and smelled excellent. Staff was well dressed and groomed. Food was meh. 1 restaurant was actually awful, 2 were pretty good. Buffet was average. Getting a table was a challenge for a group and that was annoying. The only food available for quick grab was soft pretzels. Everything else you had to order and wait, and that wait could be long. Rooms were fine, but ours flooded with every shower, had some mold and was not at all quiet. We could hear every word of the connecting room’s conversation which was awful when their 2 year old was up at 6am daily. Drinks were ok. Only one I found that was excellent was a plain lemon drop. Everything with mixer tasted like artificial sugar, but I think that’s all places in Mexico.

The beach was crowded and the service was slow. We couldn’t get chairs at the pool arriving later in the day. The dinner was mediocre. I didn’t like that we had to wait 30 minutes to get a table. I expected the room to be nicer. I was particularly upset when we got charged an additional $70.00 for our 7 year old because I didn’t indicate it in the booking even though it said kids stay for free. We were there from 4:00 pm to 9:00 am the next day and my granddaughter ate almost nothing. The $70 extra charge was not only upsetting but also felt unwelcoming. The price we paid did not meet our expectations.

The beach and all the restaurants were wonderful.

Very good breakfast Sunbed area crowded not enough space

Close to beach; good food. No problem getting chairs near pool, on beach, in the shade. We booked with a guarantee of $200 USD per room, resort credit. This was false advertising and disingenuous. On arrival, we were offered various coupons to get small discounts on some resort activities such as spa and special wines. The coupons did not cover any water sports (which we would actually have used). Overall I was extremely disappointed at this false advertisement- it was misleading and unfair.

Nice location, good entertaining, nice beach and pool. Big confortável room. We have stayed 3 days with frigobar not working sweating the floor…and in the last day they had a problem in the water and served salty coffee in the breakfast!!! We stayed in the Dreams Vista and loved - food should be good as the Vistas one.

The beautiful beach. Hard sell upon arrival to visit other Hyatt properties. When we arrived we were steered to a private setting where a rep tried repeatadly to get us to commit to visiting a new Hyatt property the very next morning. When we said we first wanted to settle in this property, she then tried to get us to commit to the next day. On our first a.m. another rep approached us again with the same pitch.

The staff, cleanliness, beach, most restaurants. Ocean view was excellent, lounge and lobby very nice. Staff in lounge very good. Preferred pool was too cold. It was the worst pool. Very disappointing when we paid more. Room service impossible to obtain. We had to call many times. When we checked in the first room we received had broken air conditioner so we had to change rooms. Not a great way to start vacation.

The romantic dinner I felt that we paid to much for what we enjoy. The meet was a little hard and the people that were singing were not that good and besides that charging for each song… I think they shouldn’t be there singing if they will be charging for each song If is a Romantic dinner and charging when people already paid for all inclusive you guys should do something better

-Great property and attentive stuff. -Amazing food - loved breakfast and lunch, a lot of vegetables. -Surprisingly great Japanese restaurant. -Quiet after 11 pm. -Water strip is short and cordoned off by buoys, so you can’t swim to the deeper waters. -There isn’t enough beach space and chairs for regular guests, you need to pay for premium membership access as most beach area is reserved for it. -Steakhouse served one of the steaks raw and it was clearly frozen multiple times before

I would not recommend Dream Sands Cancun. We were approached and offered $300 back and free activities in exchange for
