Hyatt Regency Cartagena

I loved everything about the Hyatt youf staff is amazing very accommodating polite and the cleanliness of your rooms is awesome. This is my first time and very impressed and happy with my stay.

Everything but the staff is superb That the windows did not open for fresh air

1. The check-in was quick. 2. I got an ocean view room and it turned out to be amazing. 3. The size of the room was big, I like extra room and don't like to feel that I'm cluttered in a room. 4. The room was modern and clean. 5. The infinity pool on floor 14 gives you the WOW factor. Go to the pools in the morning, there's less people. 6. Whenever I come back to Cartagena, this will be my place to stay. Look at your tabs! At the cafe, I went to buy a mineral water that I grabbed from the fridge to pay. A service fee was automatically added. I feel that a service fee should not be added if a service was not provided.

El hotel es muy bonito, las instalaciones están bien cuidadas y las habitaciones son amplias, cómodas y muy limpias. El área de la piscina es agradable; sin embargo, la piscina exclusiva para adultos resulta pequeña para la cantidad de huéspedes que recibe el hotel, por lo que en algunos momentos puede sentirse bastante concurrida y no tiene sombrillas. En cuanto al restaurante y al bar de la piscina, los precios me parecieron elevados en relación con la calidad de los alimentos y las bebidas. En particular, la pizza no cumplió con mis expectativas y los cócteles tienen un costo alto. Respecto a la experiencia Regency Club, considero que no ofrece beneficios suficientes para justificar el costo adicional, por lo que, en mi opinión, no vale la pena pagar por este servicio.

Bed was not that comfortable

Amazing decor and ultra comfortable and modern rooms! The coffee place and the pool restaurant close too early.

Location was great. Located off the beach and near lots of restaurants and shopping places. Hotel is connected to a strip mall but there is dedicated parking for hotel on 8th floor of parking garage. Parking was free for hotel. Hotel clean and well kept. We booked a suite so free vip breakfast and free vip happy hour were I included in our stay which was very exclusive. Not sure if the hotel offered direct taxi services but they were available to use at the lobby entrance each day. Suite Ocean view was breathtaking. Views for Vip Lounge were great as well. Had four pools including two infinity pools. Restaurants and bars on site. Rooms were big spacious as well as bathrooms. Complimentary water, tea, and coffee were included with Suite stay. Staff was friendly, helpful, and professional answering all of our questions and accommodating any request that wasn't out of the norrm. Beds were comfortable. A/C worked well. Hot water instantly as you turn on shower. Getting to different areas of hotel was a bit confusing at first b/c you have to go to certain floors to get to other floors but once you figure it out, its a breeze. Wifi was great and strong signal. Experience was amazing. Would stay again and would recommend!! I have no complaints at all. Great stay. Everything went as planned. Could not have asked for a more comfortable and accommodating stay for my first time in Cartagena. Definitely will stay here again. I have nothing bad or negative to say about this place. It was amazing!!

Amazing views modern beautiful Breakfast buffet was very limited

Everyone hate’s white people here. One man tried to show his penis to a child at the pool. The security didn’t do anything. They lie about the tourists taxes to rob you. The hotel smells like a sewer. The carpet is stained the fan is junk. It’s impossible to rest here. The tvs are junk. They tried to upsale a breakfast that smells like shit. The staff is racist and ignorant. I hated everything about this hotel. It’s a dangerous hotel with criminals and drug dealers as criminals.

Staff and clean

Location is very nice next to the Bocagrande Plaza Mall, there is a supermarket right behind the hotel. The Ocean View rooms & suites are amazing. The area also seems safe during the day. Club can be improved, breakfast doesn’t have many things and doesn’t taste too good. They refused to provide late checkout due to high occupancy of the hotel or access to the club floor past the checkout time, they wanted to charge us for the Club if we wanted to use it past checkout time. Be careful when booking because there are some taxes which they charge you when you arrive ar the hotel and its a lot(around 100 USD for 2 nights for 2 people), booking doesn’t show all taxes when you book. Long waiting time for on demand things they don’t provide by default like slippers. High overall prices.

Pool and all the amenities and location. The different elevators to take to get to floor 28. It took a day to understand the system of taking the elevator. I did not like the massage at the hotel for the price paid. I had to ask for water afterwards. I did not feel like it was a spa experience and it was too expensive.

Fo me, location not my first choice but for one night it was perfection !

The room and views were immaculate. There wasn't much that I didn't like.

Tremendously good

Location My friend was flying in from Mexico two days after I checked in they told me since she was not there when I was checking in. They were not able to add her to my room. I was there for a total of four nights. This is very unfair.

The room was great, just as shown in the pictures. We had a beautiful ocean view, and our room was freshened up daily, which we really appreciated. The restaurant and pool staff were very friendly and always willing to assist us with any request. Fernanda in the Regency Club restaurant was wonderful, she always greeted us with a smile during breakfast and was very kind to our family, thank you, Fernanda. The hotel has a great location, it is safe, and it is very well maintained. The only reason we are not giving the hotel a 10 rating is because when we checked in at midnight on our arrival date, the staff was not very friendly. Additionally, we were informed that VAT would not be charged if we paid with a foreign credit card and showed passport stamps, which we did. However, once we got to the front desk, the lady who assisted us mentioned that the VAT exemption would only apply if we purchased a tourist package, which must include at least two services such as room accommodations and either breakfast or another service. This was confusing, as we had paid for Regency Club Access, which includes breakfast. I believe both the hotel website and the Booking.com description are misleading and should clearly state the 19% VAT, which is not minor. Also, as we were getting ready to leave, we noticed that snacks were served daily in the Regency Club, which we were never informed about at check-in, so this was something we unfortunately did not get to enjoy during our week-long stay.

Breakfast was good, pools were nice and clean, convenient location It was annoying to take 2 elevators to go up to the room, room was outdated and bed uncomfortable, subpar and very expensive for what it is especially for Colombia

Location. Staff, pool The pillows. My God the damn pillows were horrific. A sheet of paper is thicker than the pillows in that hotel. Also, carpet in 2420 needs to be re-stretched. It has huge wrinkles. The toilet room door has slats and it's not private at all. When you are in there, the people in the room hear everything. No fan to conceal the noise! The hallway of 24 floor had a musty smell due to lack of ac. The beds were terribly uncomfortable as well. My bad was hurting.

The room was nice. Elevadors didnt work, service was really bad.
