SugarCane Chiang Mai.

The room was perfect, comfortable, spacious, awesome bathtub, great view. The staff couldn't be friendlier, they went out of their way to help us for everything big or small. Breakfast was excellent, they even got us a rental car for cheaper than I could find after doing hours of research.

We were three ladies so we booked a family room which connected 2 rooms with a king and 2 twins. A refrigerator is provided in each room and is stocked with bottled water. The free breakfast was exceptional with traditional Thai dishes with the option of a sticky rice meal as long as you requested by 9pm the night before. The hotel also offers free local Thai bananas, free bottled water, and a few other free Thai treats available at the front desk. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with daily housekeeping. It’s within walking distance of the Old City. Noi helped us with setting up temple tours with a private driver along with shopping and hiking the waterfalls. Noi is AMAZING‼️ The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and tend to all your needs. Last day, we experienced the pool and they have separate towels for use at the pool. Chairs are comfy and pool is clean with sunny and shady areas throughout the day. Water was cool but refreshing. I would definitely stay here again as the service in all areas was top notch. They also have a small koi pond and 2 rocking horses for the kids. I provide a pic of koi pond and the breakfast area. This place is quiet and not for those that want to have a party atmosphere. I don’t have anything negative to say about this place. It has maintenance on staff fixing things and doing routine upkeep daily. While we were there, they scraped the concrete floors in front of some units and re-painted/ sealed the surface with fresh paint. I don’t have anything negative to say about this place.

Friendly staff except owner (less friendly than others) The pool doesn’t look like the same as picture. There is no parking within hotel and the road in front of the hotel is dead end. You have to park nearby.

This hotel is located in a quiet spot but a short walk from local food places, a 7/11 is less than 10 mins away and you can walk to the Chiang Mai Gate and street food in about 15 mins. There is also Jethro's bar which is a minute at the end of the Soi - it's a local bar that serves food and is very welcoming. Noi is on reception during the day until 4pm. She is lovely and helpful and arranged a driver for us one day at a really good price. They also do a same day service for washing which is 8Thb an item. All came back clean and none of it shrunk! All of the staff were lovely and helpful. The grounds and pool are very tranquil and perfect and it's never busy. The rooms are a good size and we loved the balcony. We are a family of 5 and there was plenty of space with the interconnecting rooms and the balconies can interconnect too. There is a decent size fridge in the room,.and free bottled water is available (some is put in your room and some more is available from reception). Pool towels are also provided. The breakfast is good, with something to suit most. We were there at the end of July and there were a lot of mosquitoes - around the accommodation and in general - just so you know. It's a fab place, we loved it and would go back if in Chiang Mai again.

The room was excellent. All facilities were available. The manager of the hotel and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. They make us feel welcome, important and comfortable. Everything was fine.

A beautiful hotel, lovely large balcony overlooking the pool. Wonderful breakfast included. Nice and quiet for sleeping.

Great breakfast and comfy beds Nothing

Pros: The night host was friendly. It is in a great location with oterri (self-service laundry facilities) a 2-minute walk away, and 7/11 is a 4-minute walk away. The markets were an easy 10-minute walk away. We loved the area! Food panda and grab were great services in the area. The beds were comfortable, and housekeeping was diligent. Air conditioning was great. Cons: The pool was slightly green when we arrived, but they fixed that within a couple of days. The rooms looked as if they were being renovated but still unfinished with holes in tiling around fixtures and mould on the roof above the shower. Breakfast was a bit disappointing after staying at the Berkeley in Bangkok (although to be fair, the Berkeley is a 5-star hotel and this only 3-star). Every morning was the same menu. There were 4 options, with only one western option and one needing to be ordered the day before. The main hostess wasn't very friendly. Everything seemed like a hassle.

My stay at this hotel was absolutely perfect! I arrived in Chiang Mai after a long and intense trip in Japan, originally planning to stay for a week – but I ended up staying for two. Absolutely amazing. Not only is it spotless and well-maintained, but they even check the chlorine levels every single day (!!) to ensure it’s safe for swimming. Honestly, what other hotel at these prices takes care of such details? Peaceful, Relaxing & Outstanding Service The location is quiet and peaceful, away from the noise but still convenient for getting around. You can rent a scooter directly from the hotel hassle-free, and they can also arrange taxis to anywhere you need. And the cherry on top – a delicious breakfast served every morning with a smile. Bottom Line – Just Book It! You won’t find better value for money in Chiang Mai. If you're looking for a place to unwind, relax, and truly enjoy every moment, this is it. I will definitely be coming back! Nothing!!

Perfect location, quiet and peaceful felt a bit like a retreat. Only criticism would be the ancient tv not working properly, a smart tv upgrade would be brilliant. Preferably one with access to streaming services
