Royal Blue Hotel

The location was great- not too far from the old town, frequent buses going to the old town and back. AC in the room felt really good after the 30+ heat outside. Tasty food in a variety of restaurants, friendly staff, beautiful beach with crystal clear water. Can't think of anything except quite a narrow road leading to the hotel that made me a bit nervous each time I drove through in a rented car that was quite big.

The air conditioning in both rooms was malfunctioning ,water was spilling from the showers and bathtubs onto the floors. Despite this inconvenience, the breakfast selection was excellent, and the rooms were spacious, well-maintained, and clean. The location was great, and the views were amazing. A beautiful sunset was a significant bonus.

Great location, easy to get to downtown and anywhere else. Very pretty marble and glass interior. The rooftop pool is beautiful, we didn’t visit any of the others but it’s great to have so many pool options onsite. This is a hotel that photographs as expensive but is really more of a Holiday Inn- the small things that make a property actually high end were missing (quality food onsite, nice sheets and pillows, etc). The carpet on our room had lots of stains, there were only two pillows on each bed total, and the hairdryer in the room was one of those cheap foldable travel ones. The one restaurant we tried was fine, but left us with little desire to try the others. In short, this place is fine as long as you calibrate your expectations.

Amazing view of sunset every night. Room was big and comfortable. Delicious breakfast with a lot of options. We love how quiet the hotel was. Easy access to old town. Nearest bus stop was a few minute walk from the hotel. Staff at the hotel and restaurants were very polite and well trained. Nothing. We loved everything.

The property was well kept and clean. Enough staff to accommodate the amount of people. The front desk reception at Royal Blue. She was not helpful or informative when checking in. No night turn down , extra towels or water provided for the room. The pictures showed two sinks in the deluxe suite and it was not available.

The room was large and comfortable. The bathroom was huge. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The hotel was located by the local bus stop so it was easy to get to the old city. It had a wide selection of breakfast items. Would stay there again. It was kind of hard to find the lobby of the hotel from the street. Need better signs

We had one of those travels where the trip over went awry--plane delayed 4 hours, bag didn't arrive, passport not returned at rental counter, etc. When we showed up for check-in, needless to say we were exhausted and a bit in panic mode about the passport. The front desk staff was exceptional--she offered to call the rental company and assist us with its return. We are incredibly appreciative. We dined each morning at the buffet and once again, the staff went over and above. We truly had a wonderful stay, the property is beautiful and the nightly sunset was magnificent.

As travelers who have now explored over 40 countries and shared our adventures with 250k+ Insta friends, we were thrilled to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday at the Royal Blue Hotel in Dubrovnik. This vast luxury resort, made up of five hotels, is a destination in itself, featuring a private beach, eight pools, indoor pool, adult only pool, two spa facilities and diverse dining venues. We stayed in their newest wing, Royal Blue; sleek, sea-facing, with a gorgeous sea facing balcony . The breakfast was a delight, complete with sparkling wine, and the F&B team was outstanding especially Petra, whose service was impeccable, and a young male server who also went above and beyond Jose . However, our room didn’t quite match the expectations set by the price. We anticipated Carrara marble vanities, but instead found a simple single basin with tiled bathroom interiors . Worse still, we were bitten by insects overnight, and there were holes in the curtains along with a disturbing muck on the fire extinguisher. For a three-night stay costing 1,500 to 1,700 euros, we were let down that no special recognition was given for the birthday, just a small slice of cake and one glass of sparkling. Ultimately, with such potential, we rate this stay a 3 out of 5 fabulous amenities, but critical lapses in detail and guest care. Bugs in our room

We booked a deluxe family room with two queen beds. It was even bigger than expected, so much space for all our things and our little family of 3 was not cramped in at all. The bathroom was also really spacious, with double sink and a big tub/shower. Great breakfast and a good dinner in a hotel restaurant. Honestly, I can't think of anything.

Breathtaking views, comfortable beds, and very clean

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Royal Blue Hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making me feel right at home. The room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully decorated, with stunning views of the Adriatic Sea. Breathtaking!!! The property was breathtaking - I have absolutely no complaints.

It's a distance to old town however there is public transportation available nearby the hotel.

The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making my stay special — their warm hospitality made me feel right at home. The buffet was outstanding, with an impressive selection and excellent quality that made every meal a delight. This hotel has truly become one of my absolute favorites. There is nothing not to love — every aspect contributed to an unforgettable experience. While the location isn’t directly in Old Town, reaching it was effortless thanks to the fantastic public transportation located just a short five-minute walk away. I’m already looking forward to returning and reliving this wonderful experience. Love everything!
