This hotel is wonderful. Very clean, very modern and situated in a prime position looking west on the edge of the peninsular to catch the beautiful sunsets. We ate an evening meal in the restaurant once and were very impressed by the quality and range of dishes available. This also applies to the breakfast. The alternative is a 20 min walk along the coastal promenade path to a collection of restaurants, which is nice to do and a change of scene, but we found that for cost and quality, the hotel restaurant was very acceptable. The pool area is amazing and with 2 large pools and a children's splash pool (although when we visited in July we didn't see one single child?) and in addition an indoor pool. The views of the Adriatic and the islands are great. The Bus Stop for Dubrovnik old town is just a few yards outside the hotel entrance - buy your bus tickets from the hotel shop - they are slightly cheaper and more convenient to purchase from here. In summary - very impressed with the Valamar Argosy and will stay here again. N/A

I recently spent two days here on a business trip, traveling with my dogs, and the hotel completely exceeded my expectations. While the hotel itself might not be the most modern, the furniture and lighting are definitely outdated and could use a thorough refurbishment and refreshment in the near future,the overall value and experience more than made up for it. The staff here are truly exceptional. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful, and any amenity I needed was just a quick call to reception away. The location is perfect: the beach is literally a one-minute walk from the room, and the view is absolutely fantastic, overlooking the stunning Dubrovnik archipelago. Another major highlight was the breakfast. It is an absolute feast,you could easily spend two hours just sitting there, enjoying the view and the incredible delicacies they prepare. I was deeply impressed by the genuine kindness of the people here and how welcoming they were to my dogs. With a slight modernization of the interior and accessories, this place would be completely unbeatable. I would absolutely stay here again! A small refreshment when it comes to furniture and the overall interior of the hotel would be nice in the near future to enhance the hotel even more.

The proximity to the beach and Old Town Dubrovnik were excellent. It would have been nice not to have to go through the neighboring hotel to reach the beach.

The breakfast spread was very good. The views from the restaurant were awesome. The property was big and nice. It was a bit far from the old town where we had to go everyday. So we had to take Ubers all the time.

Loved the modern decor, great breakfast & tastefully decorated public spaces. The pool was huge and we never had to fight for chairs. All good views! The most spectacular thing may have been the breakfast spread. Largest, best breakfast I may have ever had. Just kept going, and going. So delicious. The workers were incredibly nice and accommodating. They all seemed to enjoy their jobs and went out of their way to help when needed. For example, they even gave me a business room to take a call for an hour after checking out. The only strange moment was when a water aerobics instructor came out and BLASTED music for an hour around everyone trying to relax. It was a fun activity but extremely rude not letting others relax in peace. Turning the music down would’ve been just fine. Mind you, I’m a big raver who loves loud music - but not in this setting.

We liked the fact that it wasn’t in the middle of Old Town but easily accessible by bus. It was our little oasis away from the crowds with many restaurants nearby. The breakfast buffet was exceptional and the staff were very accommodating. We loved the views and the pool area and all the amenities.

Direct access to bus station.. multiple beaches & park Not well maintained.. although its a 4 stars premium hotel they dont provide the basics in the room like water.. they even charge you for using the sun loungers.. staff are a bit aggressive & always pushy

Hardly anything. Only the views from our seaside room Staff are rude, unhelpful, arrogant. The car Park in front of the hotel is NOT for hotel. You have to park 3/4minutes down the road and their golf buggy transports you there and back, going on a main road with speeding cars with golf buggy is crazy. The dinner was ok but OVERLY SALTY. everything just had salt. The fruits for dessert were swarming with fruit flies rendering it inedible. The breakfast was HORRRID. Dry breads, canned sausages burnt bacon. As if the chef doesnt know how to cook. Only edible was the omlette stations, while we got up to get water, the waitress came and took our FULL plate of food to throw away without asking or thinking when our belongings were at the table. The indoor pool which was advertised as heated, was FREEZING. The indoor temperature may have been 28, but pool water was as cold as the outdoor pool. This is NOT a heated pool. False advertising. Overall horrid stay and not worth the money spent. Dont waste money here. simply not worth it.

Breakfast was wonderful. We loved the infinity pool...there were multiple pools and they were the best hotel pools we have experienced. We enjoyed watching the cruise trips come into Port. We were so delighted that they worked to let us check in early. The whole place is dedicated to relaxation and it captures that perfectly. The halls were a bit dark and grim.

The area is very relaxing and next to the beaches. It is away from the crowds of the old town. But easy enough to take bus or by uber to the tourist center. The property is decent. Very spacious relaxing vacation. Summer time, the pools and beaches below would be fun.

Beach sewages very old sunbeds, that require refresh. Also service in the beach area can be improved

Great location and facilities. Some of the staff especially at the front desk were not very friendly and they gave my friends a very dark and dungeon like room even if when they knew beforehand that we were staying as part of a tour group arriving later and were staying for 5 days total. They were given a much better room only when they complained.

The property is super nice and loved the location! If you want to have a relaxing, beach holiday this is the place. If you want to see a lot of sights in the city center, this hotel may not be the one for you. Food options were great! Would have been nice to get complimentary access to the nearby beacb clubs

The private beach was not part of the hotel. It belongs to a sister property, but to use the beach you actually have to pay for the chairs, etc. Very frustrating since I booked based on the hotel having a private beach. The staff was ok--not very helpful.

The facilities are beautiful, especially the spa. We got a couples massage and immediately wanted to book another service afterwards because it was so great. The buffet was also excellent. There was an issue with the air conditioning or circulation because after we showered our first night, our room stayed damp and humid which made sleeping a little uncomfortable.
