The property is located on the beachfront so that was very handy and easy to get to the beach. It was clean and beds were comfortable. Appreciated the tv, kettle and tea and coffee. The shower was a bit of a pain as it had come undone from the taps on arrival so getting it going was hard to start with. We were staying on the top floor which for an asthmatic with a fear of lifts it was very difficult to climb all of the stairs without feeling out of breath and faint. My partner used this lift at one point and expressed it was quite rickety. Parking was a bit of a pain also.

Second stay here. Always perfect for the air show, perfect location and great views out towards the pier from our room. Easy check-in and earlier than other hotels. Would happily stay here again.

It was very central for Eastbourne right at the pier The room could do with a good scrub-walls had grime on it. The shower in my room didn’t work and couldn’t contact anyone as reception isn’t staffed until 2pm.

Prime location, rooms were clean, staff very helpful.

The Pier Hotel, is a very pleasant hotel. It's close to Bournmouth Pier, and in easy reach of the town centre. All the staff are helpful and polite. I can recommend the Pier Hotel.

The location was excellent. On entering the property we thought that it was quite lovely. The flooring looked new and the hallways in the property had been freshly painted with new slate grey carpets. Going into the lift, this wasn't very clean and no flooring. The bedroom was a decent size but it would have been nice if the coffee or tea stain had been cleaned from the bedside cabinet. I did this myself. The bedroom needed a full size mirror, a small job but would make a huge difference. The bathroom leaves alot to be desired. The mixer shower coming off the bath taps was like going back in time. Hot then cold then scalding water. Absolutely no consistency of water temperature. Toilet seat moved when we sat on it but clean. Cracked tiles and bath plug and drainage needed a good clean. Small things like the bedroom mirror, bigger cups for the tea and coffee. A good clean wouldn't go amiss either. Wallpaper peeling off of the walls etc,doesn't look great.

Quick check in Easy key fob access to front door. No customer service at all , no bar, no restaurant, no facility to leave your luggage before or after your booking. The lift is very decrepit and frankly it is in an awful state, we climbed the 55 stairs to avoid using it. Our room (305) was on a tilt , beds and furniture also tilted. Felt like we would roll out of bed. However the beds are comfortable. Staffed only 2 - 10pm. Clearly told it was a strict check out by 10. Very weird ‘hotel’.

Good location Kettle was full of dust and have water inside, sign that it hasnt been clean for a long period of time. Poorly maintained Dust is everywhere The room smells bad when we enter

The view from the room was good The shower head holder was broken, the shower didn't stay warm. There was no toilet roll. The rooms were so dirty, stains all over the carpet and there were hairs in the bath. Windows wouldn't stay open and had to wedge open with a hanger.
