This hotel is in a great location. This hotel is for travellers who are travelling on a very limited budget. The rooms are typical old Japanese, shared bathrooms, (male & females together) large rooms with futons on the floor, this hotel is in need of a renovation, it is very grubby,. Very limited English spoken. Located on a very busy road .Also great views of Mt Fuji from your bedrooms. The shared bathrooms and the lack of cleanliness

Great location ~15-20 mins walk from the main train station, which means it's very easy to get around and you're also not surrounded by the big crowds that are always around the station. You can see Mt Fuji from the lobby when the weather is good. I got breakfast each day and very much enjoyed it because I love traditional Japanese breakfast. Facilities are a bit old, but you're getting what you pay for.

Great location for Fuji view and the owner is super accommodating! He even gave us a ride to the train station! Also great breakfast! Beds were less comfortable than other Ryokans I stayed in but not terribly so.

Location was great. If you walk from the train at night with luggage, there isn't much of a shoulder along the road, and it's about a kilometer, but doable! Then, it's really convenient to the lake and town, and to the tour bus stops. We loved the traditional ryokan experience. There is a little mustiness in the room entries, and we could have used some really detailed English instructions on using the onsen. But staff was wonderful, mountain view unbeatable, and experience was great. They even watched our luggage after checkout so we could see the town more.
