Hyatt Select Galveston - Beachfront

Don’t hesitate to book this hotel. For the price it is really nice. Location couldn’t be better- from the beach it is literally steps across the parking lot. Our room was huge and would easily have fit several blowup mattresses. We had a king size room on the 5th floor- balcony and view of the water. Everything felt updated and new. Breakfast was waffles, bagels, etc., with meat on the weekends. Walking distance to many stores and restaurants. Kroger next-door. Easy parking and comfortable bed.

Staff entered into room with out our permission. Hotel was newly painted and there was really paint smell we couldn’t stay there. We lost $504 for that reservation , we checked out in 15 mins after we checked in and booked Hilton hotel near by and moved there. Staff is very rude. They didnt even care about customer concerns and no manners at all. My kids and family were really upset

clerk was not at the front desk. I had to knock on the door to the office. She came out and was extremely rude saying that she was in a meeting. She just lacked customer service. We did encounter some very kind employees, but they were few and far between. Sadly, we will not be staying at the Hyatt Select Galveston again.

Great location

DO NOT STAY HERE. The view from balcony isn't of the ocean, its of a cemetery houses building and a hige parking lot. Upstairs was stomping across floor for 4 plus hours until I called at midnight. Front desk told me he would have to hear it befaore he could do anything. THEY HAVE A ZERO NOISE AFTER 10 POLICY THAT THEY DON'T ENFORCE WELL. Poll has way to much chlorine in it. Had to swim in pool at neighboring pool. And the last night we where thier, stomping again...... Before I could call about stomping, someone pulled the fire alarm at 1015 pm. What fun that was. The breakfast was not edible. I would rate this a 2 out of 10, only a 2 because the manager was really trying to make it a good stay. Final: I WOULD NOT STAY HERE AGAIN

We are thankful that we were allowed to enter our room early. The room was generous in size and we enjoyed the space, We had loud neighbors our first evening and the staff took care of the problem quickly.

It was all good.

My only issue was one working elevator and it was incredibly slow. Everything else was great!

My room was not cleaned it had dirty towels and someone left a vape in the room. The bathroom had trash in the trash can and the soap had been used.

Lala was the sweetest!

The original room we was assigned was dirty. The ac mad a weird noise and it smelled funny The hallways had a foul odor. Then there where bugs in the new room we was assigned. The complimentary breakfast staff obviously didn’t want to work because the breakfast options was not kept full. Elevator seemed like it took forever. The person that worked the front desk was never at the front desk. For check I. And check out Overall terrible experience. Definitely don’t recommend

Breakfast was very nice with hot foods and cold options. Coffee/tea and ice water 24 hours in the lobby. The staff were warm, friendly and down to earth. Check in was s l o w. Not sure if that was the software or what. The staff appear competent. We did have glitches with our room assignment being already occupied. Long story short, we wound up on the 5th floor and that made it worth it. Without the check in issue, it would be 5 start rating. It IS in walking distance of restaurants.

Reasonable pricing great front desk staff breakfast forget it as there is too many people coffee skip it disgusting parking plenty but be careful

Renovations are great! Breakfast has waffles, eggs & sausage. Yum! Tameisha at the front desk, STELLAR lady! She went above & beyond, considering the circumstance - that woman is a keeper!

The room was clean and nice

Room was clean elevator and hallways was not so clean besides that, everything was peachy

Bath was clean Floors were tile and weren’t very clean

We stayed here for 1 night and it was an excellent stay for my family of 3. Once we arrived we didn't have use to use our vehicle. Beach was close enough to go walking, ice cream shop was also walking distance and we'll for dinner there was a great restaurant right in front of the hotel! The room was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast this morning was great as well.

Staff was really friendly. The only issue I had was gave an early check-in. The room wasn't ready, waited an hour and 20 minutes and it still wasn't ready until it decided to give us another room. Otherwise the cleanliness of room, the staffing and the breakfast were all 4
