Location was great. Staff in the dining room were wonderful in managing my GF (coeliac) dietary needs. The roof top bar was a top spot to sit for an evening drink. Everything was clean and the staff were very welcoming. Food choices for breakfast were plentiful. Restaurant for an evening meal was also very good. Reception staff checked us in as soon as a room was available after 12 midday as we had an early arrival. All good

The rooms were great quality, the beds were really comfortable and the shower was excellent. The rooftop bar’s music was so loud that it was as if the club was playing in my room. We had an early morning flight and it was impossible to sleep. The music and DJ was full blast until 12 am. If you like to go to bed early, have an early flight or children that need to sleep, I would keep this in mind. If you plan to be up late yourselves or aren’t bothered by noise- then this hotel has excellent rooms that are really comfortable. In addition, we talked with the staff twice about booking a taxi for the early morning trip to the airport. When we went down in the morning- no taxi had been booked. Fortunately, I was able to just get a Grab and we made it to the airport on time, but had it been an issue getting a taxi that early without pre-booking that could have been a big issue.

Located centrally in the old quarter. Many shops, local eateries, restaurants, cafes, bars around. The rooms are spacious with the MOST comfortable bed!

The staff are very helpful, the rooms are big and modern with the most comfortable bed. The finishing touches off the hotel feels luxurious for the price. Overall very worth it!

This was only my second trip to Vietnam, so we have stayed at fewer than 10 hotels, and only 2 in Hanoi itself. We always tried to book with the highest rated hotels that have relatively low prices. This is the background for this review. The bottom line: I will always try to stay at La Mejor Indochine Hotel if/when I return to Hanoi, and it is the standard against which I will compare all hotels in Vietnam I will stay at. - room/facilities look new and are immaculately clean (not sure when it was actually built); room is kind of small, with just enough space, but the bathroom was much roomier, which was a very smart use of the available total space; the materials and furnishings are US 5-stars level; the AC was adequate (thermostat goes down to 18 degree C but didn’t feel quite that cool); if you expect to sleep in a refrigerator equivalent temperature, you might not be satisfied - if you hate cigarette smoke, you will be pleased; unlike many of the other hotels we have stayed at here in Vietnam that advertise no smoking, I actually could not smell any; it just smelled clean (or no smell detected), not funkiness covered up with deodorizer; let me tell you how refreshing that was!!!! - the restaurant was nice; the staff were super friendly and helpful (even more so than we have come to expect at hotels here in Vietnam); the food was very good, but I’m not going to say the best I’ve ever had in Vietnam; the Vietnamese coffee was great! - we had to check out at 4 am; the hotel asked about our check out time when we checked in, and because we were going to miss their breakfast, they packed us to go food bags; now that is classy!! The room did not feel as cool as the thermostat read

great hotel, service, amazing breakfast. all the award winning artworks add an extra touch. perfect location. missing lounge beds near the rooftop pool area or comfy seating lounge on any of the rooftops besides high bar chairs. we ordered room service that took over 40min to arrive, while we had a scheduled excursion 5 minutes after it arrived. quite a long time for room-service delivery.

Right in the middle of Old Quarter. There was an issue with the pickup shuttle. It arrived late and did not drop us off in front of the hotel. We had to walk several blocks with luggage to get to the hotel. However, management did refund the shuttle service.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. The only thing that was a bothersome for me was the location of the ally the hotel was in. There were a lot of street food and kinda smell.

The rooms were great and location was close to so many restaurants, shops and sites to see ! The breakfast buffet had many options and tasted delicious ! Staff was amazing. I'm just not saying it to say it, Chi went above and beyond for us ! My wife was having a skin reaction to food and we needed to find a hospital. Chi found a great hospital and got an appointment for my wife immediately. Thank you so much Chi for the role model service and making our stay great ! I hope someone reads this and gives Chi the feedback of how wonderful she was ☺️ We would 100% stay here again !

I wish there was a real pool. I tried to use the jacuzzi pool and couldn’t get it to work.
