Great value in the heart of the Old Quarter on a relatively quiet section Ma May Street, but a minute's walk from the craziness that makes the Old Quarter so wonderful. Excellent coffee, banh mi and a convenience store right outside the front door. I had a clean, comfortable, quiet upper-floor room with good a/c, an enclosed shower stall and nice new-looking plumbing fixtures. The building and rooms are a little rough around the edges, but there's everything a traveler needs, including a lift and a 24 hour front desk manned by very nice English-speaking folks who can assist you with your tourist needs. I originally booked for three days and ended up staying seven, including my last night in Vietnam after taking an excursion to Cat Ba. The hotel was kind enough to store my luggage for a few days so I could take just a small bag. Would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Hanoi. No complaints. Highly recommended if you need good, reasonably-priced accommodations in a great location and don't need fancy amenities like Netflix or a gym, Ideal for the independent traveler.

Some of the rooms do not have showers as advertised. I don’t like a shower over the toilets. the stairways were very dirty but clean rooms. The rooms shake when the other doors slam. The rooms are very small, beware the wide angle photos.

The good- we arrived late at night and our room was ready and waiting - the exact room I had seen in the pictures. The bedding configuration was perfect for a family with 2 teens. It's the only room on the 8th floor and a good size. The beds are comfortable and clean and the air conditioning was good. Our dust allergies didn't play up here. Also the room was quiet for old quarter. There are windows that open for outside air and to look out. The shower had the least amount of mold of any I came across - not mold free, but not too bad. No staff member asked us for a review or tried to sell us tours, which I enjoyed. The water pressure - as the quad family room is on the 8th floor the water pressure really struggles. You will not be able to wash your hair here, but it's easy to get hair washing at massage parlors. The hot water was also a bit tricky. Reminded me of a camp shower. Could do with a repaint as the walls are pretty marked up and grubby in places and the curtains were a bit dusty. Also be aware this room is on the 8th floor and the elevator only goes to 6 and then it's stairs from there.

The Hotel is perfectly located in the Heart of the Old Quarter. It’s a vibrant street with lots of Food, Spa and Shopping options! The rooms were small, but well maintained. The bedding was extremely comfortable !

Air Conditioner kept switching itself off and had to be fixed by receptionist more than once. Noisy on a weekend with live bands from neighbouring properties performing until late.

Location was great and was surprisingly quiet, for the busy area! Staff was very friendly and helpful ?? It was a good price everyone? Bed was a little hard but that is standerd for Asia .
