Room Door Lock didnt work with key card the first night and had to be operated with a key. Toilet seat was broken completely. Telephone in the room not working for entire stay despite someone coming to repair it. Toiletries provided in room sub-standard. Requested for Tooth Kit and the staff said it was finished in hotel so can't provide. At check out, requested for a Taxi to airport which hotel arranged. The Taxi was in bad shape and broke down mid way to airport - it was terrible and thank god we were saved as the brake pads fell off the taxi whilst in motion. This could have been catastrophic if the driver was at high speed or unable to control & bring the vehicle to a halt. As a courtesy the hotel should have checked the vehicle before getting their guests in the vehicle. Just shows lack of concern.

I booked it under the name “The Elysium Styles Taksim”, but when I arrived, I discovered the real name of the building is Sağlık-Sen Otel. After I found out, I searched for Sağlık-Sen Otel on Google — and the reviews were terrible! It became clear that they are using the name “The Elysium Styles Taksim” only on Booking.com to mislead guests and make it look like a different, better-rated place. The location was awful and felt unsafe. The area was surrounded by car garages, broken buildings, and piles of construction materials, and it was scary to walk around, especially at night. The hotel sits on a very steep hill, making it extremely uncomfortable to walk to Taksim. Absolutely nothing about the area matched the photos or description online. The room was dirty and badly maintained — the shower had hair and mold, the fridge was rusty and filthy, and the floor and furniture were damaged. The bed was uncomfortable, and the overall hygiene was unacceptable. The staff spoke very little English, and they were angry, rude, and completely unsupportive when we asked for help. They made the experience even more unpleasant. For the price we paid, the value was terrible. Everything about this stay was stressful, uncomfortable, and disappointing. In summary: this hotel is misleadingly advertised, located in a dirty and unsafe area, and managed by unfriendly staff. I strongly recommend avoiding this place at all costs.

The room was spacious. The balcony was amazing. There was no sign on the hotel with this name! The name of the hotel was changed and we were not informed. The location was in a place with high slope, making it hard to reach.

What a fabulous hotel and with excellent views over the neighborhood along with proximity to the popular Taksim square and Istiklal street!!! And beautiful decor that I loved!!!

Staff is Great and the Room are big and CLean There is a nightclub nearby the hotel open 7 days a week, the sound is horrible i had no rest and the location is bad its up a hill for the price i was shocked because of the bad location. its not my first time in Istanbul i satyed at cheaper hotels that had better location and much cheaper.

The rooms were spacious and neat I felt the hallways had a bad stench and there were a lot of scratches to the doors and walls which looked like it was not being maintained. Breakfast options were lower than other hotels.

Close to Taksim Square. Walking distance 10-12 min. Our room was very nice and clean. Cold improve a breakfast .

The general location is good. Upon arrival, my room reeked of sewage, and the bed was damp and musty. I couldn’t find anyone at reception to change rooms, so I slept on top of the duvet in my clothes. I asked for my sheets to be changed the next morning but the sewage smell persisted throughout my stay, and I later discovered raw sewage streaming down the wall outside my window. Combined with the view of a dump, it almost made sense. Getting to Taksim Square from this hotel is a nightmare—uphill on a busy road with terrible pavement. The hotel’s location is good, but the actual spot is awful. The hotel itself is old and poorly maintained: mouldy bathrooms, jammed doors, broken switches, flat pillows, and stale mattresses. Definitely not four-star quality. Breakfast is a hassle; if you want anything beyond bread and sausages you have to hunt down staff to get some eggs. One day, no water bottles were placed in my room. When I asked for some, I was charged ₺88 for what usually costs ₺10 in Istanbul. My stay at The Elysium Styles Taksim was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The location might be convenient, but the poor maintenance, unhelpful staff, and unsanitary conditions make it a place to avoid.
