I loved the buffet breakfast because of the delicious, traditional Turkish foods, the location in Galata Tower district, which is next to İstiklal and all the excellent restaurants and shops, and the welcoming and thoughtful hotel staff. Great value for the price. That’s why this was my second stay at Meroddi La Porta. I only wish there was more space in my room, like a small table, for my luggage. Other than that, Meroddi La Porta is excellent. Looking forward to my next stay!

Got problems with the internet, connection was not stable.
-
Great location 2 min from Galata tower but without any noise from the crowds ! The view of our room was amazing over the Eminonu side of the city ! The breakfast was super rich and tasty changing every day ! The mattress was extremely soft with no proper support from the bed below so for belly sleepers it is was a difficult pose to take to sleep ..my body bended strangely . some days the shower was smelling bad and some other too much chlorine

Amazing location, in the very center but also quiet, nice rooms too and good breakfast. Recommended The breakfast room is very small so try to go early or late to avoid too many people. The shower was leaking
-

Very clean and near to city center. Thanks to Musab, Eyop, Ahmet, Emrah, Sevgi and Seviky for the help and guidance through our stay.

I may say the food was not 100%, like when you see how they treat you and how warmly i could expect a better food, was so good and delicious but it can be better.

We went there for Valentine's day and it was perfect cozy stay. Rooms were little smaller.

There’s so much to like about this property, it’s hard to know where to begin. Location is A+ outstanding. Literally around the corner from the Galata Tower and all the shopping, restaurants, and cafes that crowd the surrounding streets of this incomparably beautiful, old world neighborhood. It’s an easy walk to the Sishane Metro station and also to the top of the Tunel funicular. We would often take a leisurely walk downhill to the Karakoy tram stop for easy access to the old town attractions and on the way back, hop on the Tunel funicular to whisk us rapidly up the hill for a leisurely walk back downhill to the hotel. It’s a small hotel making entry and exit very easy. We had a balcony room on the 3rd floor with a view of the old town and a glimpse of the Golden Horn. The room had a safe, a mini fridge, and an electric kettle with complimentary teabags, instant coffee, and 2 bottles of water. The room was cosy, comfortable, clean, and the bathroom had good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was plentiful with different choices every day. Front desk is 24 hours and always friendly and helpful. The location is the best part. Easy access to pedestrian only Istiklal Street and Taksim Square and Istanbul’s excellent public transit system. If this is your first time here, make sure to stop at any public transit station and get an Istanbul Card and top it off with some Turkish Lira. Istanbul has continuously been a city for more than 2700 years, most of that time with no cars so you’d be wise to take advantage of the vast public transit system. It’s safe, clean, and wait times are very short and it will take you wherever you want or need to go in less time and for far less money than if you take a car. Istanbul’s public transit is better than any other on earth and the Istanbul Card gives you access to all of it for pennies a ride. We were 2 men sharing a room and it was just big enough for both of us but I imagine women may want a larger bathroom for their products, but we need to remember where we are. We are in the heart of the “new”town, a wonderfully congested part of town with everything you want right outside your door 24/7, yet on a quiet side street for blissful peace and quiet. It’s the “new”town in the sense that’s its new from the medieval times vs. the truly ancient old town and as such, feels very historic with tight, winding, cobblestone streets, alleys, and staircases to help mount the hills. If you want larger accommodations, you will need to be on a busy street or in a newer part of town and of course, it’ll cost you much more. For us, the Meroddi La Porta couldn’t be more perfect and I’d be happy to stay here again.

The location, the breakfast and the service It was in a dirty alley way

The staff is amazing, extremely helpful. The breakfast is delicious, definitely worth it. The bed is comfortable, the shower is great. Hotel is clean and the location is perfect, super close to the galata tower. The room we stayed is rather small, and the bathroom smelled really bad, I believe there is an issue with the sewage pipes.

Good location, good breakfast and attentive friendly staff.

The hotel was in a very good location, literally next to galata tower. We always passed by it to go to the hotel at night as well as in the day as the hotel was on the street next to galata tower steet. The breakfast was great, mainly turkish breakfast but who doesn’t like a turkish breakfast ?. We were in the studios area which was veryy nice and clean and comfortable. There was everything we needed. Again a 10/10 would go back again for sure! Also it was only 2-3 min walk to the metro station and a 5-10 min walk to the tramway.

It is a good hotel and nice location, right next to Galata Monument. Nice service, kind people. Thank you!

Location was amazing (right off the street from Galata Tower), the views from the balcony were incredible, and the room itself was lovely and spacious. Everyone was very kind and accommodating and went the extra mile to make Istanbul feel so special and beautiful. -

Great location with solid staff up front and really really good social manager. Room was super comfy with a beautiful view. Place they served breakfast had stunning view of the city. Man serving breakfast was slightly unfriendly. Dinner location they sent us was only ok compared to what other options there are for food.

Good vibe, friendly staff (Reception guy Amir was so friendly and helpful), perfect location, Good value for money. and here is my Partner comments: Had a lovely stay at this small boutique hotel in Istanbul. The location is truly perfect — just a short walk to Galata Tower, the metro and tram lines, and the Eminönü ferries, which made getting around the city extremely easy. The rooms were very clean and thoughtfully designed, with a cozy atmosphere that made me feel comfortable right away. The hotel also offers a beautiful view during breakfast, which I really enjoyed. The breakfast itself was decent, though with a bit of improvement it could be even better. Overall, a great stay in an excellent area. I would definitely return and recommend it to anyone looking for a well-located, clean, and nicely designed place in Istanbul. Room Service could have been better...
