The location was a dream! It was right near everything in the Galata area. Sefik was also so kind and hospitable. He always greeted me with a smile and was very personable.

The location is unbeatable! In the heart of everything! I personally love to chill at coffee shops and the area has tones around the hotel ! Plus it’s safe to walk late at night . The best thing in the Room was the bathrobe! Oh My God! It’s the best I have ever worn! Oversized! The way I love it , best cotton quality! Very heavy and substantial!!! I wonder where do they get it ! I need to take one home ! Also the staff at the reception are very helpful! SEFIK is multilingual! He spoke my language ( Arabic ) which made the connection fast ! He’s Multi talented and very informative! Helped me with all my inquiries. The bed is short kinda of , my feet were touching the rail at the end . For tall guys this bed will be an issue.

The location was really close to everything. The breakfast was great. A bit noisy at night but it’s tolerable.

I loved the physical location. Especially on arriving the staff was extremely helpful and kind. I was very excited to spend my first night in Istanbul at Hotel Des Arts Galata. When I left, the staff was again, exceptional. They called a taxi for me and told me the price. The room was cute and I loved looking right at the tower in the evening. I was able to walk around easily and found plenty of good food nearby. My only frustrations came from the area. Was it a great location, yes! But there were some downsides. I'm from the US and never around cigarette smoke so I'm very sensitive to it, especially if it's constant. Because of the area, even with the doors closed and windows closed, I could but stop the constant smell of it. I know it's common here, so it's no fault of the hotel. You should just be aware of it. Secondly, again, not the hotel but because of the area, even though it is winter, people were outside enjoying themselves and singing until about 3:30 am. Then the delivery trucks started around 4:30 am. That was challenging.

Excellent location where we could walk to everything within 20 minutes. Galata Tower is at the end of the street. Tons of cafes and shops around. Free high quality espresso machine in lobby is excellent. Junior suite was large and comfortable with a nice clean modern bathroom. Appreciated 24 hour staff at desk who were all very helpful and courteous speaking English. A lot of street noise as loud tourists are walking by the hotel almost all night long. We needed noise cancelling headphones to sleep. Located at top of hill, so not appropriate for dragging luggage around this area on cobblestone streets and narrow sidewalks.

We had a wonderful stay and were extremely satisfied with our experience. The hotel’s location is excellent, very central and just a short walk from Galata Tower. Despite being in a historic building, everything was well maintained, clean, and thoughtfully arranged. What truly made our stay special was the staff, especially Şefik at the reception. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful. During a demanding night, the team showed great care and support, making us feel comfortable and very well looked after. The staff member who took over during the shift change was equally professional and friendly. The breakfast arrangement at the nearby restaurant facing Galata Tower was also a great experience — both the quality of the food and the atmosphere were excellent. Overall, this hotel truly deserves a very high rating. We felt welcomed, supported, and at home throughout our stay, and we would gladly choose it again. Nothing

Friendly, welcoming staff, that all spoke excellent English. Beautiful room, with a very comfortable bed. Fabulous neighborhood, near the Galata Tower and lots of restaurants. Highly recommended, and we will be back! Also, they help support the street animals of Istanbul.

Location steps distance from Galata Tower. Surrounded by so many unique caffe provided alot of delicious cuicines,traditional shopping with hard bargain. Staff very friendly,very helpfull, very kind and having excellent sense humor. Standard room without Television channel,inrernet little bit slow, for hotel breakfast we have go to nearby restaurant with very limited selection of menus.

The property was great. It’s right where you wanna be in Galata. Galata tower is just steps away and so are the shops and restaurants. Can’t beat its location I personally liked everything about the property. The staff is exceptional and extremely friendly.

Hotel Des Arts Galata was an absolute pleasure to stay at. We stayed in an apartment with two balconies, located on the quieter side of the street, which made a huge difference — peaceful, calm, and perfect for slowing down after the city. The space was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained — nothing flashy, just done right. The staff were phenomenal: genuinely kind, attentive, and always one step ahead without being intrusive. Breakfast was excellent, served in a nearby restaurant with a beautiful view of Galata, which made mornings feel special rather than routine. A lovely surprise was a bottle of wine waiting for us, a thoughtful gesture as we were celebrating life — small detail, big impact. Warm, tasteful, and quietly memorable. A place that lets Istanbul speak, without noise.

Staff were responsible, friendly and kind to the guests, it was a pleasure to meet and know these people. The location was fabulous, we let the windows open during the night to hear people's sounds from the street, feels like you're in the middle of Diagon alley from Harry Potter))

The location was amazing, the staff were all fantastic! The bed wasn’t the most comfortable

The street outside is a bit loud so if you’re a sensitive sleeper, bring earplugs.
