Galata Door Otel

I really enjoyed my stay at Galata Door Hotel. The hotel was very clean and the location was perfect. I could easily walk around and explore so many places, and there was always something to do nearby. What I appreciated the most was the staff. They were genuinely kind and helpful and really took care of everything I needed. Whenever I had a question or needed help with something, they were always there and happy to help. I felt very comfortable during my stay and I would definitely come back. A great place to stay in Istanbul! I can also make it sound more spontaneous and less polished, like a real quick Google review. The fact that was uphill and sometimes taxis wouldn't enter the area.

Close to galata tower

Very good location! It is very close to Galata tower, istiklal street and F2 funicular. There is a paid parking very close (100 m) Very bad hygiene! The balcony had old cigarettes on the floor, which you could see that they had been there for a long time! There were black hairs in the floow and in the bathroom wall! None of us has a long black hair! The ceiling above the shower looked like it will fall down any moment, and it was full of mould. Daily cleaning consisted of emptying the trashbin and nothing more. Do not get fooled by the balcony photos, the space is not enough for 2 people to sit. There are 2 chairs, one of them folded, because there is not enough space. The handle of the balcony door was broken. There was no ashtray in the balcony so we requested one. We were given a dirty one from the receptionist's desk. There is no iron in the room, you must request it from the reception. We were given an iron which was dirty, and the cable was peeled off with exposed wires! The mattress and pillows are very uncomfortable, and after 4 nights, we returned with back and neck pain.

We stayed like 5 nights in the hotel we had very good welcoming by Arif, he was very attentive and helpful.. location is the best.. rooms sizes are good, prices are very affordable,, worth the stay. I will be back, thank you guys ?

Clean, amazing location, friendly staff

Needs deep cleaning, pest spray, requires maintenance and repairs to shower head.

It was very near restaurants, grocery Marienplatz and Klausplatz. The breakfast was very good. The staff, esp in the breakfast area were very friendly and accommodating. Everything was good.

Staff was good and kind. We had a terrible experience at this hotel. I don’t understand how it’s rated 4 stars the standard was more like 2 stars. First of all, it’s located on a steep hill. If you’re not used to hiking, you’ll be exhausted just going up and down. They also have a water issue one day, the water was gone for several hours, which was very strange. The windows are not soundproof, so be prepared to hear all the noise from outside. The building itself is quite old and poorly maintained. I would definitely not recommend this hotel. Don’t waste your money.

Location There was no toilet paper in the toilet. The bathroom is old. The water pressure is very weak.

The property boasts an ideal location, offering a peaceful, clean, and comfortable atmosphere, complemented by exceptionally friendly and welcoming hospitality. While my stay was overall delightful, I believe there is room for improvement in the quality of the beds

The hotel itself is OK what made it very special was the reception stuff, great young people, very helpful and sincerely friendly.

The rooms are quite clean and the location is great.The staff was very helpful and friendly. It seems like the hotel is quite unorganized sometimes.We had water outage twice, which happens, it's ok, but I would appreciate if we had a heads up for managing our needs and time.Also you have to make sure that you put the label on the door in order for your room to be cleaned.We read this on the flyer on the fifth day of our staying.Till then at one room of our reservation nobody came to refill toiletries, empty the bin or change the towels.Lastly, we booked a three bed room but it was a double with a portable bed, which made moving around the room very hard.It's a pity because it is not a bad choice for your staying in Istanbul, in total.
