Meroddi Galata Mansion

Staff was absolutely amazing! Peyvand went out of her way to order a taxi for me to assure I made it to my bike tour and I wouldn’t have made it if she had not acted so quickly. Loved being close walking distance to Galata tower and so many fun spots. Breakfast, coffee and wine were great sitting outdoors and enjoying the beautiful weather and people walking by Nothing

Everything about the property was perfect I really loved my stay. Location is perfect, just a few steps to Galata Tower and metro stations to other main attractions. Staff were very kind and polite, they make us feel like in our home, specially Peyvand, always asking if everything was ok. -

On the downside, the noise during the night was an issue. At one point, my husband had to wake up in the middle of the night to ask guests in a nearby room to lower their voices. Additionally, the staff preparing breakfast early in the morning were quite loud, which could disturb guests who were still sleeping. It would be great if more attention could be given to maintaining quiet during these hours. Overall, a great experience with just a few aspects that could be improved.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive from check-in to check-out. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The location is excellent — perfectly situated between Galata Tower, Karakoy, and Taksim, making it very convenient to explore Istanbul’s main attractions, restaurants, and shopping areas on foot or by public transport. Breakfast was delicious. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience, and I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended No elevator

Great location near the Galata tower with lots of cute artistic shops around, friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast with lots of fresh options, regular cleaning service. The hotel was difficult to find if traveling by metro, so I would recommend taking a taxi or a shuttle from the airport. The spiral staircase is a little challenging to climb for older individuals . TV channels are very limited.

The best part was leaving Uninhabitable, unsafe, and completely misrepresented—do not stay here. The room smelled overwhelmingly of raw sewage and was completely uninhabitable. After staff poured chemicals down the drain, we developed headaches and nausea, and my asthma was triggered. The bathroom was unusable, and a staff member entered our room without knocking. We left within two hours and booked another hotel. Despite contacting Booking.com and the property with photo evidence, we received no support or refund. This was a serious health and safety issue, not just a bad stay.

I loved staying at Meroddi Galata Mansion. I booked for a few nights at first and ended up extending my stay almost for my whole trip in Istanbul. First, the location is amazing, very close to Galata Tower and all the shops and cafes around it but still in a very quiet and friendly street where the heavy buzz doesn't reach. It had an amazing buffet breakfast that was included with my stay, that allowed me to eat different things each morning. And the best part, the hotel has a cafe/ restaurant at the street level with small tables facing the street where you can sit, eat, have a drink, read, write or just see the people passing by. It was a very friendly and calm spot in a fast and chaotic city. I would definitely stay here again. The free wifi didn't reach all the spots of the room very well. The room was kind small, it was fine for me traveling by myself but probably a little uncomfortable for two people as long as I stayed.

Everything was great. Clean rooms, excellent breakfast with nice outdoor view for galata streets, nice staff. Special thanks to Jila, she was really nice and helpful and she was always there to make sure everything is good.

The staff truly went above and beyond! They were super welcoming, friendly, and awesome to chat with. From check-in to check-out, they ensured we had everything we needed and were always helpful and responsive. The breakfast was also a highlight - delicious and impressive. Overall, our stay was made special by the fantastic service and attention to detail. Special thanks to Bahar , Samaneh and the cool manager who was generous enough to serve us a free complimentary Buomonti local beer which I will never forget its taste ever. Our room was a bit of a mixed bag. Due to my partner's medical condition, we requested a lower floor room and were happy with the accommodation. However, if that hadn't been the case, I would have liked a slightly larger and brighter room. The lighting could be improved, particularly over the bed where the ceiling light was a bit lacking. Having only one bedside drawer meant one of us had to get creative with storage. Adding more lighting, especially above the bed, would make a big difference. With a bit of tweaking, the room could really shine.

Its so quiet at night. The fact that the bathroom is really small, and if you turn off your AC, the room becomes 2 meters away from hell fire. Really really hot.

Staff are friendly. Breakfast is good. Location is great. We got a room on the last floor. It was like a mezzanine and too hot. The room was small. The bed was small as well. AC did not work the first night so it was like an oven. The next day they fixed it. Too bad they have these rooms for the same price as the other more comfortable rooms. The room did not even have a mirror. There was only a mirror in the bathroom.

Our booking was for Meroddi Galata Mansion, but upon arrival, we were transferred to Meroddi Bagdatliyan. But we couldn't be more pleased with this hotel! The room we were given was outstanding! And we loved everything about the Bagdatliyan hotel! From its location at the foot of Galata Tower to the elegantly decorated interiors! The staff was adorable and so professional! Special thumbs up to Musab who welcomed us and to everyone who took great care of us. Thank you for this memorable stay!

Good location It was very clean Tiny room - if you’re 6’ or taller you will struggle to stand upright. Very hot in the room - aircon doesn’t work adequately at all. If you go in summer, good luck. Fridge doesn’t work at all. Weird smell from toilet and basin on some mornings. There was no water pressure in the shower some mornings. The building is quite old and noisy. The listing claimed the rooms are soundproof but they definitely aren’t. You will hear everyone coming and going until about 12am. The reception is very bad. They claim to be 24/7 but they are rarely available. When I arrived to check-in I had to wait for 30 minutes for someone to show up. If you need to contact reception be prepared to be ignored. Don’t even think about making use of the room service they offer. I left a day early and opted for a hotel on my last night instead.

Great location. Galata Tower at the top of the street, my favourite view of the city. Buffet breakfast. It could have been better. Toaster and sliced bread would have helped. However, this may only be my preference. Hotel rooms are small. As long as you do expect this! Everything else is good.
