LazeMaze Hostel

Location was good By far the worst hostel I have ever stayed in: - The place feels sad and abandoned. - Communication with the front desk is very complicated, unfriendly, and shows an alarming lack of professionalism. They seem to have forgotten that I am the customer and that they are providing me with a service I have already paid for. - The place is very hot and there is very little ventilation. - The rooms lacked any kind of security; they didn't give you a key, and anyone could walk into any room. - The only staff member I saw (a housekeeper) during my three days there even deliberately came over to close the only window that ventilated the common area while I was using it, and wouldn't let me open it again. - This same worker engaged in highly inappropriate ethical and sexual conduct toward me throughout my entire stay. On the day of my check-in, I was waiting in the common area to get into my room. During an hour-and-a-half wait, the worker kept giving me regular, sustained stares while doing his housekeeping duties. At one point he realized I was waiting to check in, and he offered me a room. I replied thanking him but saying that this room was not the one the hostel's reception had told me about by message. He insisted, saying that he works here and that it was no problem. The insistence turned out to be because he wanted me to sleep in the room where he (the housekeeper) was also sleeping. At first I didn't think much of it, but he kept up suggestive behavior throughout my stay—for example, undressing in front of me and sleeping naked in "provocative" positions while I was in the room, making me feel very uncomfortable. If you don't mind being harassed, poor ventilation and high temperatures, terrible customer service, and difficult access to the hostel, then this hostel is for you. The only decent thing I can rescue is the location. I WOULD NEVER COME BACK.

Smelly, crowded place. Ukrainian

Perfect location. City center. Park. Train bus station. All on foot. Very small room for 6 person. No curtains. Bed so so.

The location was perfect just a 5 minute walk from the center. The beds were comfortable and the room was overall clean. Bathroom was spacious and comfortable. Room was relatively cheap. The room did not have window curtains or any other way to cover the windows and as a result we were forced to wake up earlier than wanted because of the sunlight and we were possibly visible from neighbors. We were given only two hair-sized towels, no body towels, no hand towels. The toilet paper was not sealed, meaning it had been used before. The water temperature suddenly dropped to very cold while taking a shower and took more than an hour to come back to warm. The balcony wasn't clean and there was even a bird nest with birds and eggs inside. There was poor soundproofness and we could hear noise from the main corridor from other residents leaving/returning.

Check-in procedure is chaotic, if you reach early no reception. My bed was not arranged at 6pm, when asked the person to provide the bed with clean sheets he behave rudely. Managed to get it done around 6.45pm. If travelling alone this is bit too much and difficult to get connect and having smooth stay

It was close to the station, which was what I needed. Staff were friendly. Nice common area. One of the showers was closed, leaving only a bathroom with 2 showers for women available. One of the showers didn't have a curtain, which means only one shower was really available for women. The room was hot and a bit dusty

Too many beds in just one room

There was no wifi as they said. If there is one, they give the wrong info about what it is called, as it doesn't appear on the list. The luggage deposit is just in the public spaces with no lockers, but there is CCTV so they assured it would be okay, which it was in the end.

Felt a bit disorganized. The WiFi didn’t work and from what I could tell there didn’t seem to be any rush to fix that. The washing machines also been out of order for 5 days already and no sign of fixing that as well.

I liked the ambient environment inside and the bathrooms were clean. I really didn't like that there was no physical person available. The staff was working remotely. Also, the room code key they gave me was incorrect. I had to call them, and they didn't pick up my call. I had to try again and again, and then they told me the new code. It was very frustrating. Also, they shifted my bed to another room. In that room, my bed was a bit smelly. It looked clean, but it had a bad smell. I spent only one night there.

Great location and my room was nice It would be much better if there was someone working reception. I would have liked a towel but there is no one there to get a towel from

There was no reception during the entire stay. A sign in the bathroom said you had to rent towels from the reception, but no one was there.

Good location! Nice locker! Clean bathroom! My room is just across from the sharing area which is not soundproof:( Besides, there are three other guests who didn’t get there right room numbers, so it was kind of a mess that night.

Location Smell was awful, facilities were not clean and beds were not made and ready for us 5 hours after check in, hard to find because it is not clear it is actually Mosquito Hostel

The location and helpfulness of staff

Very noisy, I heard every word and step from hallway. It was impossible to fall asleep before 3am, until noises end. Also there was no toilet paper in toilet.

Perfect location, clean, comfortable beds. Quiet My small toiletries bag was stolen for some reason. No one knew English when I asked about it. Needs more dishes, toaster.

Very clean hostel. The cleaning lady did amazing work, we met her every morning and she was always very sweet. The location was perfect, two minutes from the green ring of the old town.
