Close to train station Don’t have a breakfast

Our family of five (two adults and three children aged 14, 12, and 8) had a wonderful two-night stay at Hotel Hokke Club Kyoto. The biggest highlight is undoubtedly the location. Being directly opposite Kyoto Station made everything incredibly convenient. Whether using trains, buses, taxis, or even ordering an Uber, transportation was effortless. It is truly one of the best locations for families visiting Kyoto. The staff deserve special recognition. Everyone we interacted with, especially the reception team on the second floor, was exceptionally courteous, welcoming, and professional. Check-in was smooth, and throughout our stay they were always happy to assist with a smile. The hotel itself is very clean and well maintained. The reception area is spotless, organized, and efficient. Two elevators meant we never had to wait long. We were assigned Room 604, which offered a magnificent view overlooking Kyoto Station. Watching the trains and the city from our room was a memorable experience for both us and our children. The room was thoughtfully arranged for a family. Three comfortable beds easily accommodated all five of us—my wife and I shared one bed, our 8-year-old daughter and 12-year-old son comfortably shared another, while our 14-year-old son had his own bed. The room itself was very clean, the bathroom was spotless, and housekeeping maintained a high standard throughout our stay. The facilities were excellent. The room included a refrigerator, television, plenty of power sockets conveniently located beside the beds and around the room, and separate slippers for indoor use and the washroom, which was a thoughtful touch. After our first night, we requested housekeeping, and the cleaning staff did an outstanding job. The room was refreshed perfectly, the bathroom was cleaned thoroughly, toiletries were replenished, the body wash dispenser was completely refilled, and fresh toothbrushes were provided. Everything was restored to an excellent standard. There was only one issue during our stay. On our final night, the water supply was temporarily interrupted for our floor. The hotel staff responded promptly, and the issue was resolved within approximately 10–15 minutes before briefly recurring once more. By the following morning, the water supply had been fully restored and everything was functioning normally. Since it affected the entire floor rather than just our room, we understand that unexpected situations can occasionally happen. The only area where we genuinely feel the hotel could improve is the Wi-Fi. While it was usable, the internet speed was noticeably slower than expected. In today’s world, where many guests rely on stable, high-speed internet for work, travel planning, video calls, and streaming, faster upload and download speeds would greatly enhance the overall guest experience. Improving the Wi-Fi would make an already excellent hotel even better.

The best part of the hotel is the location! It's conveniently located across Kyoto Station and Yodobashi shopping mall is a 3 min walk. Clean room and great staff. Would stay here again Like most dryers in Japan, it didn't dry our clothes very well so we ended up hang drying our clothes

A clean, comfortable, affordable business hotel close to the Kyoto Station. We really appreciated the location and the friendly staff. Breakfast buffet was delicious, with good coffee and tea. There were even a few vegan options. Nothing comes to mind.
-
Clean and a very convenient location near the train station Window in room didn’t open.

Great value for money. Location is unbeatable. Just across Kyoto station. Easy access to the train and bus both. Service was great, rooms are extremely tiny though. Be sure to check on the room size before booking, my room had a frosted glass window that opened onto a vent, so the room was as good as windowless.

We were quite busy each day with excursions around the area. Location to the train station was excellent. Can’t think of anything.
-
the property was centrally located and easy to navigate the wet room had no fan so it became very humid and stayed damp

Very dusty

Very good location Room is very small
-
No Windows in the room

It’s literally in front of Kyoto station so you can’t get a better location than this. There are also a lot of restaurants and convenience stores around the area. Maybe more choices on breakfast but other than that, we enjoyed our stay.
-
The location was central to everything and the restaurant downstairs was good for late night and for breakfast. I'm a senior so the bathroom was a little tough (high step into bathroom and tub)

It was great essentially the location and please visit the stores near by

The location was convinient The bed sheet had a spot of blood on it. There was hair in the fresh towels.

The Hokke Club hotel was perfectly located across the street from the Kyoto train station with a nearby family grocery store. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel had an older feel but was very clean and updated and quiet. A laundry facility was included as well as a change machine in the lobby. The room was larger than most Japanese hotels and included a sitting area with a table and two chairs. The room had a small window without a view and the lighting gave the room a basement feel. However, it was very conducive to sleeping and healing jet lag.

Only if I'm being nit-picky, I found some dusty areas of the room.
