Kyo-Anthu Inn

A friend and I stayed here for one night before heading out to hike the Kumano Kodo. Though brief, we had a wonderful stay. The hosts were so kind it felt like we were staying at a dear friend's home. They even offered to drive us to Kyoto Station early in the morning (free of charge). I would definitely recommend staying here in Kyoto! Great value for money too.

It was cozy and welcoming. Close to the bus stop, cute coffee shop within walking distance. The inn itself was spacious and the beds very comfy.

The room had all the necessities. The owner went out of her way to explain how things worked. I felt very welcomed by the family who couldn't do enough to help. All good.

Zero complaints. Everything was great.

The is a wonderful guest house. Great location, super clean and wonderful hosts. My daughter and I stayed 4 days and it was perfect. We also left very safe :)

The family was so kind and helpful with tips on where to go. The room was so comfortable and the bathtub was so relaxing. It was so nice to stay with locals and chat with them every day. They also were able to give us a ride to the train station on our last day which was so kind!

This is an adorable little inn run by a very kind women and her mother in the heart of kyoto. I would recommend this placr to any solo traveler staying in kyoto. It's in a fantastic spot to travel all over the prefecture, and the service here is the best there is.

The room is clean and confortable, I had some of my best sleeps of this trip. The facility owner Emiko is extremely friendly and caring.. the breakfast quality is a plus! I recommend all who stay to try it. There´s no view from the window, it is more of a close space, comfy though.

The location is conveniently situated by the river so good for walks to the train station. It is within walking distance to a few shrines. The property has 3 rooms on 3 floors and owned by family. Rooms are spacious and have everything I need. I am impressed by the attention to detail. The bed is very comfortable. The staff are super friendly and efficient. I will definately come back to stay next time I visit Kyoto again.

The inn is beautiful, very clean, modern, and comfortable in a convent location. The breakfasts were great. The hostess, Emiko-san, was incredibly helpful and super-nice. Her mom was great as well. It was almost like being part of a family. We really enjoyed our stay. It would be great if the room were a bit larger, but then we’d have to pay more. We were quite happy the way it was.

The location is very close to the Keihan Main Line, which made it very easy to take the train to places like Fushimi Inari and Nishiki Market! Kiyomizu-dera is within walking distance as well as the Gion district. Various restaurants are nearby, in addition to two close Familymarts. We opted for the breakfast option and it was delicious! A different breakfast was provided each morning, and they were a great start to our day. Overall, Emiko's place made for a lovely home base as we explored Kyoto! Walking distance from the Kyoto station is a little bit far while lugging around a few suitcases. (About 20 minutes depending on your pace)

Very clean and comfortable room and bathroom, very nice, kind and helpful the owner of the house and family, tasty breakfast. Kyo-Anthu Inn's family made me feel very good and comfortable in this house. Nothing - everything was okay.

Fantastic, warm and kind hosts! They are so friendly and helpful. Emiko gave me directions and information when I told her my plans and also helped with up with a lift to the train station instead of getting the bus. The location is great - very close to the bus stop and only 15mins walk to Kyoto station. Nothing!
