Staff was nice but when our large group came in, the staff looked right over me and came to greet the couple that came in after me. That was very rude. I booked 8 rooms and that was uncalled for.

Hospitality from the first moment. Even the subway entrance closest to the hotel was beautiful. Rooms are large and laid out perfectly. The onsen has a short dividing wall great for first timers. Fantastic slippers.Restaurant has tasty Italian food for dinner, excellent service and moderate prices. You are able to purchase artwork in the lobby. My room was a dark, quiet oasis. My view from the room was of the adjacent building but the bedrooms in the rooms facing the interior garden below were all highly visible inside to anyone walking towards the elevators. I used the stairs instead. No privacy if you wanted natural light. Depressing to see someone’s unmade beds with their suitcases and stuff strewn all over the place in such a pretty, symmetrical setting.

It was luxurious and relaxing with on site onset pools. Our room faced a concrete wall. Suggest adding forest or mountain scene over the window for more tranquil atmosphere. The lobby lounge had nice interior garden views

The property and our room both felt like a very luxury experience. I was extremely pleased with the amount of space in our room, the amenities provided, and the general aesthetic of the entire hotel. Upon arriving, the staff were extremely welcoming and made the entire check-in process seamless. Fantastic location as well on Sanjo St. My only critique would be that the restaurant for breakfast & dinner was both expensive and nothing special. I would recommend locating meals elsewhere.

Kyoto itself is a lovely, upmarket city, great base for the hotel Amazing beds, and decent pillows too (a win for us Aussies!) Booked two rooms but paid to upgrade to a larger room, well worth it Rooms were quiet and spacious Onsen was amazing Washing machine available downstairs, handy for a longer stay Bar downstairs was lively and busy Free umbrellas provided on rainy days, a nice touch Highly recommend doing a food tour of the local area (booked in advance - to learn about all the food! Walkable to everything, and only 5 min to the train station Nice fragrance throughout the hotel lobby Lovely touch with an art exhibition in the lobby supporting artists with disability, though there was no signage explaining it. As an art consultant I asked at the front desk and found out more, would have loved to see a pamphlet or some info at check-in, and maybe an option to donate Stayed 3 nights as a family of 4 with two teenagers Didn't try breakfast at the hotel this time Overall, amazing stay, would return! View from our room was over rooftops, worth requesting a higher floor if that matters to you Honestly, as someone who travels extensively, there wasn't much else to fault!

Good location and an easy ~10min walk to the Nishiki street market and the surrounding area. Property is newer and the rooms were nice, though the selection of toiletries is limited. Breakfast buffet was good, though we found the options a bit limiting

Perfect!!! It was a lovely stay, a highlight of our trip. And our favorite hotel we stayed during our Japan tour which includes four different hotels. Location perfect, staff were lovely and helpful. I really liked the design of the hotel it is modern and peacefull, all the amenities in the room are very well thought out. The breakfast is good as well.
