Trendy, in a quieter part of city, but still in city center and right next to a subway station.
-
Location, the room for 4 people very comfortable, clean, staff very friendly, good breakfast, we had a good time and also close to train station. Nothing, everything good
-
Fantastic Japanese style room. Comfortable and clean. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Rooftop area was a nice bonus. Nothing.
-
Everything was so clean, convenient, and peaceful. Everything was great. Self checkout was not as convenient as having someone check you in though.
-
Great location, helpful staff and lovely room. Choice of breakfast limited and highly acidic.

The staff were incredible!! So helpful and kind! Whenever we needed support they were available and hospitable. A true highlight.

We were planning to stay for 1 day, but wanted to send our luggages immediately to our next hotel with TAK-Q-BIN, before checkin in, because if we would wait after checking in, it would be too late to pickup our luggages that day, and the next we would already be checked out. However it took a lot of time for the reception stuff to understand the issue and find/accept the simple solution we offered (pay with cash, because their problem is that they couldn't charge the room).

very tight. No coffee.

Everything about this hotel was amazing

Everything! The style of the room, the comfort of the beds, the cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms! I really have no complaints! It was a great stay in a great location and the locals around the area were all nice and very helpful! I absolutely LOVED the lounge area! I wish we had stayed longer so that we could hang out there to unwind at night! OH and the rooftop seating is DELIGHTFUL for those clear morning sky sunrises!! nothing to add here :)

Close to station. Quiet street. Nice guest lounge. Clean room and bathroom. No place for luggage for four people but it is Japan. Loved the futon sleeping. Comfortable pillows. Nice staff. They helped us with luggage delivery. We appreciate this so much. Used the laundry facilities. Easy directions. Glad they had this on location. Room has a little crowded. Set up B with beds was nice but very little room for luggage. We managed though and were overall very happy.

I loved this hotel! It has amazing style. The rooms were comfortable, the bathrooms were nice, and the amenities were great, everything was perfect. The staff were super friendly, too. They have a communal lounge where you can take a break or even work, which is great because it's quiet and comfortable. The location is also very convenient, close to a train station and with all konbini nearby. I like everything!
-
Very kind staff and nice common lounge Quadruple room was smaller than expected and the mattresses on the tatami were quite thin. And they also charged 2200 yen to check out at 11am instead of 10am.

Rakuro Kyoto was our first stop in Japan and it set the bar high right from the start. Our moderate room was comfortable and spacious enough for a relaxed stay. The location is fantastic, just a few minutes’ walk to both the metro station and bus stops, in a neighborhood that feels local and less touristy, with konbinis conveniently nearby. The absolute highlight of our stay was breakfast. The breakfast sandwiches were delicious and the coffee was exceptional, genuinely it was the best hotel breakfast we had on the entire trip. Honestly, nothing worth mentioning. It was a really well-rounded stay.

Liked the staff especially and the decor and facilities. The breakfast was good, sometimes took a long time. It would have been nice to have a bigger choice for breakfast, especially if you stay several days and you get the same every morning

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was a great room for our family of four and the hotel seating area and free amenities were a nice treat. The rooms felt brand new and spacious for Japan. We enjoyed the hotel's minimal design and the location was nice and close to the subway line. The only negative of this hotel was the distance from some of the sites/neighbourhoods like the Gion area, etc. The metro isn't as vast in Kyoto and it was a bit more challenging and time-consuming to get around from this location.
-
The place looks amazing and the staff are extremely friendly. The location was relatively close to restaurants, a temple, and shops. The bedding and pillows could have been a little more comfortable. The beds seemed to all be different so someone ended up on a thin futon and others were a little more comfortable with a slightly thicker futon.

Very nice interior design, rooms are big and have natural light. We asked for a quiet room and we got one. The guest shared room downstairs is very nice too. The whole bathroom situation is poorly designed. It was all explained to us beforehand so that's fine- but it's silly to have to go through two fire proof steel doors to go to the toilet, and take the key with you. I wish they would just add a lock to the main sliding door. Once you're on the bathroom, it's very nice.

Easily the best hotel I’ve ever been. Great location, friendly staff, comfortable facilities, nice restaurant. Love the natural concept: organic products, fresh tea every day…

We were immediately impressed by the beauty of the design of the hotel. It's a gorgeous building. The staff were very friendly and gave us all the necessary information when checking in. The guest lounge is amazing, the whole hotel smells divine and the rooms were very clean. There are two washers and dryers available at the hotel. There's a Family Mart right around the corner, and bus stops/metro stations are both only a couple of minutes away by foot.
