The location was fantastic, near major sights in Kyoto and a bus stop to get elsewhere around town right next to the hotel. The staff was wonderful, friendly, generous and extremely helpful at all times. I would definitely stay here again when returning to Kyoto!

The location, the staff, amneties, and the room.

Location in great also the staff is so sweet and attentive, they helped us with the luggage forwarding saving us a lot of time and hassle... Beds and pillows are comfortable too. Coffee shops around and 5 mins from the bus stop. The building is a bit old and the twin room was a bit small but it's like this everywhere so cannot really complain.

Hospitality and kindness of the staff. the terrace and the view was perfect. Location was good. There were no cabinets/closets in the room. None.

Good location. Crazy busy during the day but nice and quiet at night. Bus stop and taxi stand nearby. Easy to connect by bus to Kyoto Station. Roof terrace and laundry on roof. Free coffee, tea water in lobby. Staff is very nice and friendly. Busy street during the day but we were out and about so didn’t affect us

Beds are hard. I would recommend asking for a second mattress topper. The room is small and there’s nowhere to lay out a suitcase.

The location was the best. We took the city bus, walked around the corner and there it was our hotel. I love that there were so many temples, shops, restaurants and bus station on walking distance. The village is lovely to walk around in the morning and evening.

Staff was nice and the hotel clearly tries to offer lots of little amenities as a nice touch. The location was great for all the touristy stuff, and close access to major bus routes. The beds are incredibly hard, but they did put a mattress topper on the next day which was perfect. For the price and rating of the place I would have just expected it to have been a little nicer? It’s not bad, it’s just a little dated and not quite as polished as the pictures show.

Location to the Otani Hombro and Kiyomizu-Deru temples is very convenient. The surrounding neighborhood is quiet. The bed in my room was the most uncomfortable! It’s dated with no plushness whatsoever; it was like sleeping directly on top of the wooden slatted support that the “mattress” was laying on. Most restaurants close early.
