The staff was very helpful and friendly the towels were put in a drawer in the bedroom rather than in the bathroom

The hotel was a little bit farther from the city center than what we were expecting (45min bus).

Poor luggage forwarding service that sends you to the lawson with also poor service. A bit funky smell

It’s a spacious room with a nice sink area, plenty of space to move about. The staff were lovely and friendly and the facility was clean and tidy. I’m sure once the renovations are completed this will be a really nice place to stay a few nights. The big bath was closed and the room only had a shower so I missed taking a bath. The hotel is undergoing renovations hence the bath was closed and sections of the facility off limits.

Great place to stay for Shabbat in Kyoto. Across the street from the Beit Chabad. Almost no Shabbat issues. All the other hotels in the area are impossible to stay for Shabbat.

Very convenient location, bus stop right outside with lots of buses that go all over the city. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Black out curtains so got a good night sleep. Comfortable room and very clean. Picked the random room option and got a twin. All fine

- They have some staff who speak decent English, and if they don't have staff at the desk who can speak English they have a translating device they can use for English and other languages. I saw said device be used for English and French - There's an onsen(?)/communal bath, so there are no baths in the rooms. I was a bit too shy and self conscious about my body/weight to use the communal bath, though I realllly wanted to! - They have food services, but as a coeliac I didn't use them - It is easy to get your luggage to the elevator - I love the shower. It feels luxurious. The shampoo makes my hair super shiny but not in a greasy way. By pressing down on the button for the shower temperature thing, you can make it even hotter which I loooove - They offer pyjamas, which are comfortable. They have a stretchy waistband for the trouser part, and the top is nice and baggy and can fit a variety of sizes. I imagine the trousers won't fit people very well if they're over 160 pounds (I'm 150 pounds), and are taller than 5'5 (my height) - It also comes with hangers and shoe shiners and fabric freshener for clothes - There's a mini fridge to put food and drinks in - There's also a large TV, though I didn't use it - You can't request them to hire a taxi in advance, but you can ask them to call a taxi for you as you leave the building. If you're going to Kyoto Train station, they offer a free shuttle that allows even large luggage. It was so helpful! - They offered a large man to take his luggage off him, he had two small cases, but they didn't offer me (a woman) to take my two very large luggage for me. I would have said no as I don't like burdening others, but I dislike that they didn't even offer me that option for either of my stays (I stayed once back in March, and again this September). I don't really understand why they didn't offer to take my luggage when they offered a man twice my size with smaller and lighter luggage than my own. - There are drink vending machines on floors 6 and 7, but you still have to pay for the drinks. They're not free with your stay which I've seen some places offer. - When I returned one afternoon to my room, they said I had to wait for my room to be cleaned even though I put up the do-not-disturb sign, which I disliked - My room had traditional two prong Japanese outlets, so make sure to bring a converter if you have a 3-prong American plug (like for laptop charger), or another converter if from another country. I was fortunate that I thought to bring one, even though I almost didn't

The staff is very friendly. Reception is opened 24h. Room was very clean with good air conditioning. Nice and quiet place. No roomkeeping performed.
