I loved that the property was so clean, near a bus line and boasted its own garden to walk around on. Also, the staff was helpful and accommodating. My room was an exquisite showcase of Japanese hospitality and met all of my needs. The breakfast was delicious and satisfying. The staff even helped me get a ride to the airport that took a credit card, which was convenient. Not applicable.

Breakfast was very good with many choices that were beautifully presented.

Beautiful My kids room has no view
-
Beautiful property, amazing staff. Their hospitality is out of the world. Location is too remote. Getting back at night using public transport can be a little tricky. Take a taxi, if it's past sunset. Breakfast is a big no!

This is such a beautiful hotel. You can tell may fine details went into the design and furnishings beginning with the lovely entrance.
-
Elegant hotel with perfect service. Only issue is location. Require taxi to most places Beautiful garden, great breakfast and great service!

The service was next level- accommodating, nice, they went over and above Nothing- it was wonderful
-
Super friendly staff, held our luggage, and took the luggage from uber right to our room. Place also has very good security

Awesome intimate hotel in the heart of Kyoto. Amazing service and friendly environment It really was th perfect top level hotel
-
Beautiful hotel, very nice breakfast, comfortable rooms rooms, very supportive staff. The wardrobe could be bigger, given the size of the room.
-
Great location. Walking distance to temples and about 20-30 min walk to Gion. The property was beautiful and feels very private. The rooms are large and very comfortable. Could use amenities like a gym or spa to make the value even better.
-
The staff and clean The noise of the street and the bad isolation of noise. I woke up a lot of times. There was just one restaurant. You cannot eat in the lobby your own food.
-
Everything but the bar and the restaurant
-
Quiet and private, not crowded. Food outlet limited.
-
Amazing location with access to everything, beautiful!
-
The gym and location leave a bit to be desired as the gym is a small compact room with dumbbells and a treadmill, and the location is a bit far away from Kyoto’s main shopping street by walking.
-
Very elegant and stylish hotel Spacious triple room, modern, clean, warm atmosphere, Quiet not crowded lobby ,Staff was very polite tried always to help I knew the hotel wasn’t very central, but I was looking forward to a quiet stay the beautiful garden I saw in the photos. Instead, our room faced the street with cars passing early in the morning and a big transformer right in front of the window. It was really disappointing. Breakfast limited and too expensive

Although the breakfast is Western-style, I really like how it incorporates Japanese flavors. I really appreciate that the hotel staff can speak some English, and their service attitude is exceptionally good.

Location is a bit difficult but manageable with a bus stop right in front of the hotel. Front desk staff should advise guests that the door is going to be locked at 10 PM and there is a way to enter with the card. I didn’t know that and there are no signs indicating that. Also, Front desk staff forgot about some fee changes for shipping luggage, and advised me about it AFTER a day when the luggage is already shipped and I got the receipt after paying. They decided to charge me for the fee differences at checkout due to their mistake. I don’t mind paying for a service but I just think it is not professional. I could easily decide to ship my luggage another way.

It is a beautiful hotel and very friendly and helpful staff. The weather but they had no control over that :)
