Seiei Hotel Kyoto Kawaramachi

Only the location was good, but not worth the money at all, i had to leave my luggage untill the receptionist came , when i left my luggage i noticed later that my apple airtag disappeared from my luggage and i noticed only after i left , we left our luggage only there downstairs , they should have at least lockers since they dont assist with check in or securing luggage , might fell somewhere else but there was the only place where i left my luggage unattended I found flea on one of the beds made me not able to sleep for the whole night, i stayed only one night The space of the room is good but maybe it wasnt my lucky day

it is located a little off the center, which is great. we stayed in a room with private bathroom. plenty of space and perfectly clean.

Everything was new and clean I was trying to find a traditional Japanese room, with sliding doors, tatami and futon. This is what I think tourist would love specially in Kyoto… maybe you can have another hotel/rooms with traditional Japanese features.

Great location, close to many major Kyoto attractions. Convenience store and laundry place nearby. I wish that for this price we had a window in our room. There was only an emergency exit "balcony" with no view (fully boarded up).

The room is bright, clean, and cozy. The beds and pillows are comfortable although the blanket can be bigger. The bathroom is also very clean and spacious. I like the staff because they're very friendly, smiley, and very helpful, I can tell they all care about the guests. The water dispenser and self service amenities + towels in the lobby are very convenient. The location is also nice, only a few minutes walk to the river and many shops and restaurants around. The placements for the tables and chairs in the room feels forced and blocking the ways, me and my partner had to arrange the layout around so we can have space to walk and put our suitcases. The window is so small and when you open there's no open view or any space, so it feels a little claustrophobic. The check-in process was a little strange, we have to do it at 3 PM sharp although the staff was there cleaning, we hoped we would be able to do the paperwork when we arrive and then come back later after 3 to take our luggages up, but as it wasn't possible, it felt awkward for us to leave for short walk and hurriedly come back to continue with the check in process.

The location is amazing. However we always had problems with internet connection.

Comfortable bed, quite big bathroom, calm location. Short quilt. The bathroom and the bed were clean, but the room needs a deep cleaning. A shelf in the wardrobe was full of dust, a carpet under the beds is very dusty too.

The receptionist was so kind. The room was clean and comfortable. +

Very clean renovated hotel. Very nice bathroom with more space than in other hotels. The location is quite central and quiet. Pity it could have been perfect! Lack of hooks or rails for towels in the bathroom. We had to put clothes and towels on the floor. No hook anywhere in the room. The stairs were locked and we asked to unlock them for security reasons it was denied. Not a very good experience!

The rooms were pretty comfy Prelogue - When I entered the room I noticed a strong urine smell, someone did not clean the toilets, pee stains on floor, poo stain in toilet. No cleaning crue, meant that the bathroom will be cleaned only the day after. General - this property's name says "hotel" but upon arriving they make it clear that they are a "guesthouse" which gives them the audacity to say they do not clean the room during your stay. This also means that the reception is barely manned. Room - A/C filters were filthy, AC made a lot of noise thanks to that. Blanket way too hot. Bathroom - mentioned above. it felt disgusting to me even after being cleaned. Air vents had tons of dust outside. Location - awful. pretty far from any station. Facilities - standard. WARNING - THEY CHARGE A WHOPPING 15,000 Yen FOR A LOST KEY CARD. Insane to me. I would avoid this place.

The room looks good, the bed is comfortable and the shower is great. Also the location is relatively good. The room was very dusty. Especially as I am allergic to dust (house dust mite literally translated), that was a problem. Next to that, room 103 is very noisy. You hear people talking at the reception and hallway. We also heard the upstairs guest walking and flushing the toilet. When we asked to change the room the receptionist said that it was not possible as they were fully booked. When we pointed to the luggage from the guests that checked out that day, he kept telling us that it was not possible to change rooms. Only after telling about my allergy, he was willing to do a 'light cleaning'. As we figured that this was all we could do at the moment, we decided to agreed on it but even after the cleaning it was still dusty as only the easy to reach parts were cleaned.
