Breakfast was limited and given the excellent choices of cafes within a short walk I would skip the expensive breakfast in favour of a local bakery cafe, Blue Bottle was our favourite and only a 5 minute walk. Also, there is a fantastic grocery store close by which is worth a visit.

The smoking room is next to the elevators so my pregnant wife was forced to inhale smoke and nicotine everytime we were going in/out.

Very friendly and accommodating staff Great lounge every evening Right across from train stations It was a little further away from the main streets in Kyoto, not really walkable

TVs are outdated. No apps. I have a baby. Having YouTube would be nice. Carpets look old. I had a cancellation with my flight home. Had to stay in Tokyo for extra day. They were not accommodating. I already spent $1300 for 4 nights, was ready to spend another $400 but they wanted me to check out then wait around for 4 hours to check back in with a baby thats 18 months.

Everything was awesome.. it’s close to everywhere 7 eleven and some shops down bakery and 20 minutes walk you will be in the downtown Nothing

We had a wonderful stay at Royal Park Iconic hotel. One of the hotel’s greatest advantages is its excellent location, with direct proximity to the Karasuma Subway Line, making it incredibly convenient to explore Kyoto’s major attractions, shopping areas, and transportation hubs. The accessibility significantly enhanced our travel experience. What truly made our stay memorable, however, was the exceptional service provided by every member of the staff. From the reception team to the restaurant staff and lounge personnel, everyone was consistently warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The staff were always ready to go above and beyond to assist us with any questions, requests, or travel guidance, no matter how small. Their willingness to help, positive attitude, and attention to detail made us feel valued and cared for throughout our stay

Staff as excellent. Nice hotel, especially for first time visitors to Kyoto. Breakfast was good. Like th3option for public bath although I did not have time to use it. Great hotel, but almost all Westerners.
