Nothing Our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. We were shocked to discover that there was no air conditioning in the rooms at all, which was not made clear to us in advance and significantly affected our stay. Instead of a proper solution, we were given a tiny fan that barely produced any air. When we asked reception for an additional fan because the room was unbearably hot, they refused to provide one. Beyond that, the room itself was in unacceptable condition. There was a strong, unpleasant smell of dust, likely coming from the carpets, and the overall feeling was that the room was old and poorly maintained. The white bed sheets were stained and disgusting, which is simply unacceptable for a place that is supposed to be called a hotel. The bathroom was also very disappointing — extremely small, uncomfortable to use, and the bathtub itself was unpleasant and unhygienic. It is important to mention that we paid a considerable amount for our stay, and the value we received did not justify even a quarter of the price. In our opinion, this place cannot really be called a hotel — it felt more like a low-standard hostel. Absolutely not recommended.

The hotel breakfast was excellent, and the hotel's location was outstanding. An Underground station is just a 2-minute walk away. Oxford Street can be reached within 10 minutes on foot, and the British Museum is only a 3-minute walk from the hotel. The location is truly exceptional and one of the hotel's biggest advantages. The only drawback was the absence of air conditioning in the room, which may be inconvenient during warmer days.

Good location Big, renovated room Well-appointed but small bathroom Comfortable bed Excellent housekeeping Bathroom could be bigger No air-conditioning, west facing rooms get hot in the afternoon Road noise even with windows closed Value for money not quite there, but that applies to London in its entirety
