Dukes Head Inn

Very friendly pub in excellent location and great value

Das Dukes Head Inn liegt mitten in Richmond in einer ruhigen Wohngegend. Der Bahnhof ist ca 10 Minuten entfernt, es gibt aber auch einen Bus (371), der nicht weit vom Pub hält. Alle vor Ort sind sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das englische Frühstück ist sehr gut, ebenso die Mahlzeiten im Pub. Die Zimmer sehen viel besser aus als auf den Fotos, vor allem sind sie viel heller. Ich habe mich hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Vom Pub ist es nicht weit in die Stadtmitte Richmonds und zum Fluss. Dort gibt es auch einige Restaurants mit tollem Blick aufs Wasser. Gab nichts zu beanstanden.

Nice people, sweet bar and excellent location Just old but Clean

Exceeded my expectations, which is always pleasant. It was very comfortable and clean, and the staff extremely helpful and polite. I would certainly consider staying at the Duke on my next visit to Richmond. Nothing comes to mind. The descriptions are very accurate.

Spacious room, plus a comfy bed and good shower

It was unusually warm during our visit (27 C), a better fan in the room would be much appreciated.

Perfectly located, nice pub downstairs, and friendly staff. The full English breakfast was wonderful and the owners were very nice. The beds were not comfortable (you hit the bottom of the bed when you laid down) and it was two twins when I expected a single bed. It was fine for one night.

Great location in a quiet neighborhood a few blocks away from the touristy stuff. Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Had dinner, drinks, and breakfast—all great.

Location, price, cleanliness, breakfast and friendly hosts. Very firm mattress and bathroom radiator was scalding hot at all times. Shower head was not adjustable for the taller guests. Fairly minor considering the positives.

Very central . 5-10 minute walk to most of the places we wanted. On a quiet pretty side street. Rooms are above a nice mellow locals pub. Cooked to order breakfast. No elevator. Our mattress was older.

We wanted something just outside London, quiet, within walking distance of the tube and something with personality. The Dukes Head Inn checked all the boxes. An added bonus, after our day touring in London we decided to eat at the pub downstairs. It was wonderful. There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. The only thing to consider when booking is there wasn’t an elevator, so if you have any mobility issues, take this into consideration.
