Bed cover was not cleaned, but they replaced it on asking

Not clean, old, walls were yellow and bed sheets were old and pale. No elevator and I had to go with my luggage 3 floors. No help. But the lady at reception was nice and friendly

They made sure I got a room on the ground floor like I needed. The room and bathroom were small but exactly what I needed. Everything was clean and the bed comfortable. The location is excellent.

Amazing location and bed, just a bit cramped for a bigger guy like me

The property was very close to the train station. The main reason we booked here We had a lot of heavy cases and we had to go down some very steep stairs
-
The shower was not super clean, I did not mention this as I was just staying one night, and I didn't necessarily want to be switching rooms, but be aware you may need that.

The location of this hotel is excellent-- right where we needed to be near the University of London and the British Library, as well as transit. The day we checked in Lucia was amazing and got us a room well before check-in time so we could rest. The staff was friendly, our room was cleared every day with fresh linens and coffee cups. The beds were small but very comfortable, and the ceiling fan and opening window was key with the weather edged toward 40. This is definitely a hotel that rewards some pro-action on the guest's part. Our room didn't have a refrigerator, but one was provided on the second day. At 3 points during a 6 day stay we had to ask for more toilet paper. This was provided each time. Understandably, the rooms in a budget hotel built from a victorian building are small, so two tall women were bumping into each other and the furniture. More linens like a bathmat would have helped keep the floor of the bathroom turning into a muddy mess that got tracked into the room. The beds were made up daily, and the bathroom cleaned-- but there was a fair amount of dust on the tops of things like the closet and lamps (I am probably 2 ft taller than most of the staff, what can I say).

Great location near the 2 train stations, super quiet environment next to a small park. Cheap hotel room.

The room had a mini fridge, the shower was working fine, I had no issues to sleep - it was quiet and the bed was ok. The staff was polite and there was someone in the lobby at all times. It is a budget stay. So, don't expect a refined place and the rooms are small. I had only one backpack do it did not bother me. If you have two big suitcases, you will need to organize yourself in the room to make it work.

Very powerful shower. Bed was very soft.no support. No sicker near the bed and overheadl bed light broken. Main lights were blinding with no lamp shades.. wouldn't cost much to sort that out. Shower is tiny.

The only positive thing I can say is that the staff were friendly. This property is acceptable only as an emergency 1 night stay. I cannot in good conscience recommend it for any longer than that. The walls here are paper-thin so you are bound to hear everything, and I truly mean everything. From people talking; moving about; grizzly bear snoring; using the toilet or having intercourse. The last one might be particularly uncomfortable, as the beds are usually only one or two meters apart, making you involuntarily involved in whatever goes down. The first day we had to switch rooms in the middle of the night, because it just got unbearable with our neighbours. Luckily, the night shift receptionist was very professional about it and gave us a another room. On the third night, a guttering sound of the fire alarm woke us up at 1 o'clock in the morning. I was told there was a fire and that it had been put out in a-matter-of-fact tone. The following morning we were woken up by the fire alarm again, which rallied the entire hotel. Apparently either the hot steam from shower triggered it or someone was smoking in their room. A little while later there was yet another fire alarm. Good heavens, three in one day! On our last night we were yet again roused by neighbours having intercourse at 2 o'clock in the morning, at which point we just decided to pack and check-out sooner that we intended. The interior is somewhat run-down but that is to be expected from this price range. The bathroom is tiny, can't imagine that a person with a larger build would fit in there. The bed is okay, but I couldn't sleep because of all the noise. I recommend to spend a little extra on a different accommodation instead.

The rom was very cosy and quaint, a bit small but as advertised. The view was pretty in autumn. I would suggest to request a room upstairs.
