Fountain House

This had the potential to knock it out of the park. Location was amazing, it was clean, comfortable, and spacious. It has someone on duty 24 hrs/day - staff kind and helpful. Small things could make this place amazing: the elevator didn’t work (we were only down 1 floor and staff carried out suitcases); there was a coffee maker but no coffee (nor could I figure out what kind of pods to buy - I’ve never seen that kind before); and our entry cards to the building and apartment gradually stopped working and staff couldn’t fix them. By the end, only one of the 3 worked, which made separating for different activities a bit more difficult. None of these were major issues, but just enough to keep it from being marvelous.

Little smaller than it looked

We loved all aspects of the property. The apartment was very spacious and clean; the TV system was very modern; the bathrooms had everything and the beds and furniture were comfortable. The location by Hyde Park was fantastic. There was no guest toilet in the lobby while we were waiting for our room to available.

Its location first near to downtown, Hyde park/ oxford street/ Marble arch, it’s clean has modern furniture, cleaning services, suitable for 4 people, calm place and easy entrance, kind staff and helpful, has good AC, has toilets hose, highly recommended. Nothing

The whole experience was amazing, the location and isolation system was perfect. The reception especially Mr. George was really helpful and active all the time. The only thing i wish to be fixed is the elevator to the top level.

Very comfortable apartment, great beds and spacious dining room/ living room. Every single employee was so lovely and kind- we felt very safe and welcomed! Just steps from tube and bus stops and literally across the street from the park. A little bit worn in parts, mostly to the carpet and walls. But that’s to be expected in a place that hosts lots of families and it didn’t detract from our experience.

Excellent location right across from Hyde Park. Sparkling clean. Quiet. Lots of room. The beds were great & very nice bedding. Paddington station is a short walk & Lancaster gate for bus & tube is just around the corner. So nice to have Hyde Park & all that it provides, right across the street. The kitchen was furnished a bit sparsely - could have used a tea pot, some proper coffee mugs, a new frying pan. There was a coffee maker that used pods but they didn’t supply the pods which seemed odd. Laundry detergent wasn’t supplied but the staff kindly gave us some which we really appreciated.

Very good location if you can handle the lights from traffic and subway noise (ends around midnight I think and starts again at 6 am maybe). Noisy location, flashing lights from cars and street noise over the black out curtains. Not at all a 5 star as rated on here. While it’s clean and in a good location it doesn’t have things one expects for this rating like plug ins in the bathroom, functional normal size elevator, had to ask for extra TP, doors hard to close and lock, no luggage racks, rooms so small that bed was against the wall. One staff member was friendly, the others weren’t very. Not what I expected for the money, it was just ok. Also the washer dryer combo is hard to use, didn’t dry out load of laundry, had to hang on racks to dry overnight which was fine but not if you were in a hurry.

You can not beat the location!!! Right by the tube, bus station, stunning park and cute pub! wish they provided for adaptor outlets!

Wonderful location in the center of everything. Hyde Park and Lancaster Gate tube stop at the door. Huge apartment with three bedrooms and three washrooms great for a group or family. Staff cleaned half way through stay which was a surprise and appreciated. 24/7 doorman felt safe lije a hotel but with ease of an apartment.

The location is perfect, 10 mins walk from Paddington station. Lots of restaurants and Hyde park on your doorstep. Would recommend.

The location was great! It was easy to walk or take public transport from the property. The staff was very friendly. We liked the space/size of the apartment. It looks like it was recently updated. They beds were comfortable. Linens and towels were clean. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher when we arrived. The floors were sticky. The kitchen was not well appointed, as advertised. The coffee machine took special pods and none were provided nor were they available to purchase at nearby markets. There were only 2 pots to cook with. A frying pan would have been appreciated. We came back to the room 2 days in a row to find housekeeping had left our door open, allowing anyone to enter. Fortunately nothing was missing.

Right next to underground and bus stops for easy transport. Spacious with three bedrooms. Presence of front desk / front desk staff onsite was nice. Smart TVs throughout was nice for the kids. Across the way from beautiful Hyde Park. Apartment itself is tired. Needs new paint (marks on walls), new rugs (they are stained), new pillows (flat bricks). In general, the layout of the apartment felt very industrial vs welcoming / cozy. Our family was also approached by a homeless person on our first day immediately outside the front entrance. He was angry and fixated on us, making racist statements toward us. Not something that could be controlled, but it scared our kids, ages 8-12, for the remainder of the stay even though we did not encounter him again. Very unfortunate.

Excellent location, easy to find, everything you need plus additional space to make the stay more comfortable than a hotel. Loved that Hyde park was right there and you can walk to get a coffee, breakfast and dinner. It's definitely aged a bit. couches/couch pillows were a bit worn, and the ceiling in the bathroom had what looked like mold. one of the towels smelled. just aesthetic things like this.

The location was great! We bought a 48 hours hop on hop off bus from big bus tour and the bus stop ( number 42 ) was one minute away. Right across from Hyde Park as well. Lift is small but other than that nothing
