Nice place to stay, great food, kind people! Room to warm at night We ask for another fan, but we didn’t get it.

Location and value were excellent! Air con was much appreciated! Some areas could use a bit of updating, but it was good overall. Breakfast was just okay, but there were a lot of options.

It’s an older property with some quirks… very small room!

    I didn't find anything didn't like.

One of the staff members made sure we got the second room farther away from the construction noise and without a carpet after our complaint. However, see below. The location is very convenient. Don't be fooled by the lobby and the façade or the pictures on the internet. From the outside and the lobby you might take this hotel as one of the better ones, however, once you turn the corner, you'll realise how dated and run-down the place really is. The plates at breakfast were dirty and we stopped eating there after day 1 of our 5 night stay. Cancelling or any sort of compensation was not possible, so we were stuck paying for a service we didn't use anymore. Considering the price for breakfast, that was not exactly visitor-friendly. Our first room was 275 which was directly next to a construction site where work started at 7am, so sleep was out of the question from then. The noise was like being in the middle of the site - we had to yell to understand each other. The fact that this room is even being rented out with a noise level like that is unacceptable. Our second room was 566 directly under the roof where it was considerably warmer than the former one and the AC didn't work. The safe was also broken and the bathroom has black mould in several areas. We will not be back and cannot recommend it.

Location at Hyde Park, proximity to Paddington Station and a few local cafes and shops. Felt safe walking at night. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Clean room which was bigger than expected Construction outside our window.

Location Although the stay on the whole was good. What let us down was that the last night there was no electricity in the whole hotel. Whole night we had to stay awake in hot weather with no window opening. It was suffocating. The hotel did not have any backup power supply not were able to the restore the supply for 10 hours. Atleast, coz after that we checked out. And to make matters worse was the false promises by the hotel manager who promised that they will compensate the guests affected that night. But now its 1 month since i checked out. No response from them. Although i wrote twice to the hotel. The manager could have spoken the truth and said that its not possible rather than giving false hopes to us. I felt cheated. No honesty. And breakfast was also very bad. No change in menu all 5 days. Been to many places in my lifetime and have stayed in various categories of hotels including home stays, but this was the worst experience.

The hotel was extremely convenient and walkable. There were several stations nearby that allowed you to get almost anywhere pretty easily. The rooms are small, as expected, but that wasn't really an issue. However, the design/layout of the bathroom may be a bit dangerous or inconvenient for some. My sister actually broke her toe in the bathroom and the staff was not concerned one bit. More on that later. You can tell the hotel is older but that wasn't an issue either. It was well maintained and comfortable overall. Great bar and the breakfast looked good though we didn't have any since we just grabbed something at the Eurostar station on the way to Paris. (we were only here for one night) The staff were mostly rude and very short with us. It was as if they didn't want us there and had no intention of helping us with anything. At one time we asked for ice. The gentleman got extremely loud and rude with me when I was trying to explain that it was four of us. We needed ice for our glass (2 glasses), and my sister needed ice for her toe that she broke getting in the very awkward shower. I tried to explain her toe issue and he yelled "I gave you enough." Yes, he put ice in two bags for us but both bags combined was barely enough to fill up one glass. I understand the bar was closed but that doesn't mean you should use that as an excuse, which he did. I showed him my sister's toe, explained what happened, and there was just no concern at all. I asked to fill out a report but he just brushed me off. He was working the front desk with a young lady that was at check-in when we arrived. She was incredibly rude to the lady in front of me, so I had hoped to get someone else. Thankfully I did. As we were leaving, there was an employee named Stella who was a breath of fresh air. She was so kind saying good morning and asking us if we needed anything. Her smile and kindness should be the face of the hotel. That simple gesture meant the world to me and reminded me that London still has nice people. More Stellas, less of everyone else.

lovely lobby. All the amenities. noisy since next to a main road. Sirens. Thin walls - could hear conversation next door.

Perfect location. The room location that given was too bad. It is at the back side the of the hotel and there was a jenerator. It was fully open and we got too much difficulties to sleep because of the too much loud coming from jenerator. Also, room was too narrow compared with the photos shown while doing reservation.

Perfect and beautiful location and accommodation, friendly and nice staff. Quite humid and hot, and AC wasn’t working as well as WiFi wasn’t working.

The staff were very nice about the issue I experienced with my room and tried to be helpful by seeing if they could identify the issue with the shower in the room and then by switching me to a different room. I ended up awake far later than planned, and was still very tired when I got up early in the morning to attend a business meeting. The rooms were reasonably spacious and clean and the beds were comfortable. Hotel is quite dated and lacks some features that are provided as standard in most hotels I have stayed in, even the budget ones. The room I was given had a shower over a bath, but the ceiling height over much of the bath was very low, making it impossible to stand in the shower. I feel this should have been made clear in advance. I was only staying one night so I would have tolerated not being able to shower in the way I would have found comfortable. But the shower was actually broken and it only produced cold water. I was moved to a different room, which had no power socket in close proximity to the bed.

The room was okay and the bed was comfy. The breakfast was also okay. The door of the bathroom. It was too small for an avarage man like me. Also there was a power shortage almost for 12 hours. Our phones/powerbanks were died. My wife had to blow her hair in the reception. There was no apologies nor a discount, nothing.
