Clean and comfortable. Staff was great, helpful and kind. Breakfast included and in my opinion, with the exact good options on it. Highly recommended. -

The location worked for me. It was close to a train station with many important connections (Paddington) and there were multiple bus routes stopping not too far away from the hotel. I appreciated that breakfast was included in my rate, even if the food was lacking in variety. The check-in was quick, though I'm not sure why I was asked to fill in the form myself - usually the front desk does this for you. There were a few times when water wasn't running in my room. No shampoo or shower gel was provided in my room despite advertising otherwise. The room felt rather cold and there was no soundproofing - not conducive to a good night's sleep. The breakfast time was too short and I had to wake up earlier than I'd preferred to avail of it. Also, a couple of my (non-essential) items were thrown away by housekeeping for whatever reason.

Location and personnel.

The simple breakfast was good but could have been excellent with yogurt and fruit. The location was very good: quiet, safe, and close to restaurants and public bus service. Room too small. The front desk staff bordered on being rude and unhelpful.

Very good.

A few minutes walk from Paddington Station, Close to bus routes (nonstop to the British Museum), the Orchid is one of many similar hotels in this area. We chose the Orchid for the lift (elevator), the breakfast buffet and 24-hour front desk . The lift was nice and large. The breakfast was simple but sufficient - ham, cheese, and boiled eggs with a small variety of pastries and cereals. The breakfast would have periods of heavy traffic, but always had a table available and coffee and the foods constantly replenished. (hotel was sold out during our stay). Our room was streetside on the first level, with an extra bed for luggage. The main road was a distance away, so traffic noise was minimal. The heat was enough that kept the window up a bit even on the coldest nights in December. We kept beers on the outside window sill to keep cool. Unending HOT water for the shower, daily towel service. There is a lounge room with 24/7 coffee & tea and a big screen TV adjacent to reception There are only 2 auto parking slots, directly in front, first come. Pictures are the Orchard Hotel front, The street-side room, and the view out the window.

Fairly good location with a quick walk to the park or the tube. Reasonably sized rooms for the money. The wallpaper had cracks at multiple places, and it felt a bit worn out in general. The room we got had basically no sound isolation at all, so with the general bathrooms as well as the breakfast room just outside of our room, we could here everything going on, which woke us up multiple times every morning. Even though free WiFi in all areas where promised, the WiFi was pretty bad (around 5mbs) in the lobby, and couldn’t reach our room at all (which was an issue since we needed to make some work related meetings). We pointed this out the first morning, and where promised that they’d look it up and get back to us. When we hadn’t heard back from them yet the following morning we simply accepted it since we had already needed to buy extra cell service because of this. When mentioning this at checkout we where denied a refund for the cell service and told we should have come to them again when they didn’t reach back out and they would have switched our rooms (over half of our stay in at that point).

Room is clean and beds are comfortable. Breakfast is mainly toast with ham and cheese but good enough. Location is convenient near Paddington. In the quadruple room wifi is spotty at best, impossible to work.
-
The place is a dump - there are better options in the neighborhood. The bed was uncomfortable, the room was tiny (even by London standards).
-
Location Outdated, very poor wifi - only available in the lobby
-
Breakfast terrible and space in hotel room was pretty plain, no shower gel or shampoo includes
-
It was wonderful,thanks..

Good location to visit the centre of London. Breakfast was very basic. Slice of ham and cheese, jam, 3 kinds of cereal and a boiled egg with toast is pretty boring when staying there for 6 days. NO English breakfast. Forget it. Shower gell was not replenished when needed. After asking the front desk, staff was kind to help. Windows do not stop street noise.

Great layout of a room very spacious, quiet atmosphere. It was as though nobody else was there and yet it was full. It would’ve been nice if we had a refrigerator in the room and if we had control of enabling the heat
-
Spacious. Large bathroom
-
Great walking distance to Paddington station and little shops around the area. Safe and beautiful. The concierge was above and beyond helpful and kind. We definitely would return! The rooms were a little outdated and had questionable carpet cleanliness but all other items were clean

Wasn't enough fans for us to have one in the room ,so went and bought our own
