Great location next to tube and buses. Fabulous value form money being next to Hyde park/Oxford road. If you want more than a basic en suite room and breakfast this hotel is not for you. If you just want a place to crash and can accept going up a few flights of stairs this place is great

The location is excellent, quiet but really central. Just across the road from Hyde Park and close to bus services as well as Marble Arch Tube station. Walking distance to Oxford street. The linen, towels etc were clean and good quality. Its London and it's an old building, so it was a bit wonky, you can expect that. However, in our case that meant the bathroom door would not stay closed. The breakfast was very basic, not much variety.

Right at the top of Hyde Park, the hotel was positioned perfectly for our stay. The staff were so friendly and accommodating as we arrive late and needed to leave our bags for a while. It felt like nothing was too much of a problem for them. We are truly grateful to them. We got put in the basement. The door looked like it had come of its hinges and hadn’t been refitted properly. The mirror was blocked by a huge fridge and the room was generally very very tired with minimal accessories. The window was a sash one with nothing to prop it open and it was boiling! The bathroom looks like it was about 30 years old too. Generally it needs a huge renovation. Although the beds were comfy and as we only literally slept there and had breakfast I kind of feel it served its purpose.

Location is great and very close to Hyde park. The staff were lovely especially the oriental lady who did the breakfast. Our room had its own patio which was ideal as we smoke and could go outside. The bedroom reminded us of going to our grans house in the 1970’s a mismatch of furniture, wall coverings and colours but it was immaculately clean. Fell in love with Monty the owners dog. Had a great weekend thank you Could do with updating

The staff were so welcoming and helpful. We loved the location, so central and yet so quiet. We loved the old world feel about it. If you are looking for character and nostalgia then this is the place to come. It was a like a little trip back in time, good old school decor, everything you needed was there but there is nothing corporate or fancy about it. An excellent breakfast is included too. Would definitely return. Bed was a little on the soft side for us but that is a personal preference.

Good location and friendly staff with good breakfast Room was very small, very hot and needed repairs

Excellent location next to Hyde Park. Friendly and helpful staff. We were moved to a larger room because it was too hot in the smaller room. The hotel decor and bathroom facilities are tired. The self serve breakfast is just OK but all cheap products.

Flexibility with request for an early check in.

This hotel is cheap by London prices and cheerful. Staff friendly and breakfast good. Beds were comfy and plenty of hot water. The location is ideal for central london. Pleasant half hour walk across Hyde Park to Buckingham Palace. Decor is dated and tired, so don't expect modern decor. Could do with a refurb.
