    Location is amazing

Great location…but expect “no frills”…Stayed here many times over the past 10 years, hotel has really gone down hill. The location is the only plus point. I would consider a Premier Inn next time… Very basic rooms, unusually for a UK hotel, there wasn’t a kettle, or tea making facilities. When overseas, this is very common, but not in the UK. I did request a kettle, but this didn’t materialise. I was bombarded with messages from this hotel, yet when I replied requesting a kettle, there was radio silence.

Great location, well priced When checking out they tried to charge us £10 per bag for it to go in bad storage even though the email says it’s free Monday- Saturday. This needs reviewing as they are charging customers even when emails say otherwise. When showed the email the worker then took our bags for free as it should have been in the first place

The location of this hotel is amazing. It's about an 8-minute walk to SoHo and Chinatown, and just a minute away from the show The Devil Wears Prada. Primark and Uniqlo are only 2 minutes away. The area felt very safe, even when returning to the hotel at night. The room was clean and comfortable. After the first night, we switched to a room on a higher floor, and with the window closed, there was no noise from the street. I really loved this hotel and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended! The rooms are a bit outdated and show signs of wear and tear, especially the carpet and the sink. There is no air conditioning in the room. Housekeeping is not provided during the stay, and towels are not replaced unless requested. I also had to ask for extra toilet paper, although the staff provided it without any problem. One thing I found unreasonable was that luggage storage is not complimentary and requires an additional fee. Overall, there are a few areas that could be improved, particularly regarding room maintenance and guest services

Location ... within walking distance of the shows on the West End. Breakfast was OK and the hours it was served was unusually good (6:30 to 10:30, weekdays). But note, they have two breakfast restaurants. One serves a buffet, the other a la carte. If you stay here, select the buffet. The food is the same in both, but you can't get seconds on anything, even coffee, in the a la carte restaurant. Check in is at 3 PM. If you ask them to store your bags, they will charge £10 for each piece. You can get early check in, but, for example, they charge £40 to check in at 10 AM. It is necessary to walk up a half flight of stairs to get to the reception. Although they have a lift for handicapped, it is specifically marked that it is not allowed to use it for baggage. As a result, you will need to hand-carry your bags up the stairs. The room was tiny. It did not have coffee, tea, water, a kettle, a refrigerator, or a microwave. There was only one obvious electrical outlet. We found two more, one behind the bedside table, and one above the dresser. They only clean the room once every 4 days. We almost ran out of toilet paper. The bed was uncomfortable. I had a small billing problem (they charged the £1 security deposit that was added to the early check-in fee to my credit card, i.e., not pending). The person in front of me when I checked out said he had been double-charged for one night and was trying to get his money back without success. I write lots of reviews and they are generally favorable. This is probably the most negative review that I have ever written.

We loved the centralized location. Having an extra room for the sofa bed was good to spread out and feel comfortable. The cook making fresh eggs. The sofa bed was the worst mattress ever, my daughter had to place the sofa cushions on top to be able to sleep. The frame and springs popped up through the so called mattress. She even attempted to try the closet area as a better option. When entering the hotel there was an air freshener that was so strong it gave me a headache, I would have to enter the lobby with my nose and mouth covered. The elevators were not substantial enough for the building and amount of people staying. There was a fridge in the room but no tea or coffee equipment or supplies, reception did supply on request. The room was extremely small and not like the images. Not enough sockets in appropriate locations. No AC in the restaurant at Breakfast, it was so hot. The scrambled eggs looked like vomit.

The location and breakfast were good Bathroom and bedroom

Location and cleanliness Resturant was very good. Check in experience not good. We have been coming to STG for several years not had such a poor experience checking in. Much more personal previously. Staff were helpfull and friendly. £10 for baggage storage is too expensive.

The price and location were good The room and particularly the bathroom was run down. The bathroom door wouldn't shut and the shower was difficult to turn off.

Not a lot Check in experience poor

The location, which was close to Oxford street, was the only good thing about this property. The rooms were dated and dirty and there were no amenities for guests. We were provided with just one thin pillow and had to request more. The taps in the bathroom were covered in limescale and it didn’t look like the bathroom had enjoyed a deep clean in a very long time. Ironing facilities were shared with no way to request your own - they had dedicated rooms that were not well maintained. Although I’ve noted the location was good the windows, which were tiny, were not soundproofed so the noise was a constant.

Personally, my stay at the hotel was quite short however I thought the room was not too small or not too big; it was the right size for me as a solo traveller since it was just about having some bits of comfort and relaxation, especially that I am Deaf so I was lucky not to be disturbed by noise! The room was overall tidy and clean. It has everything nearby i.e., restaurants, shops (i.e., Boots), and an underground metro which is very handy. I would book the hotel again next time when I'm in London. Based on some reviews regarding lifts, I confirmed that it can happen particularly in the evening/night so just to give you a heads up in advance, although it's overall alright during the day. Otherwise, you can take a staircase when preferred. And another thing is that the charging port was a bit far from the bed, but it didn't bother me at some point.

Location was perfect. Next to the underground. Walk to all the center places.the room was as new

Location was brilliant, close to central without costing too much. AC in the room was poor, had to pay £10 per item if I wanted my bags held whilst I went out.
