The Dilly
About The Dilly
The rooms of The Dilly feature private bathrooms with bathrobes and cozy slippers. Guests can enjoy free newspapers, a refrigerator, and 24-hour room service. The Dilly is just 10 minutes walk from the shops of Oxford Street and Bond Street, while Piccadilly Circus is less than a 5-minute walk. Leicester Square and Covent Garden are both within 10 minutes on foot. The Health Club at The Dilly has a steam room, and guests can exercise in the gym and on the squash courts. The Dilly also features a dance studio available for private hire or dance lessons. Tea is also served with child-friendly menus for the whole family to enjoy. As we approach our 120th year, The Dilly are delighted to announce the beginning of an extensive renovation program that will restore our hotel as one of Piccadilly’s most iconic landmarks. From May, our new entrance and lobby will reopen, signaling the start of our detailed bedroom refurbishment. The Dilly appreciate your cooperation and understanding while we undergo this exciting transformation. We're thrilled to announce that Madhus of Mayfair will reopen on June 4th, with a stunning transformation of the restaurant and bar, making it one of the most prestigious dining rooms in all of London.

The location couldn’t be better - walkable to all the best things! Staff were very helpful and friendly. Overnight noise (reversing truck signals, clanking bottles) that kept us awake.

Perfect location for exploring the city. Having extended our stay in advance and communicating with the hotel on 3 occasions prior to arrival we were still contacted by housekeeping and reception on two different days to find out why we hadn’t checked out. I was annoyed the first time but the second time was even worse. No communication between staff they just dismissed our concerns. Reception staff had very poor customer service skills.

Excellent location, nicely presented comfortable room. Welcome gift of fruit, fancies and wine much appreciated. Fabulous swimming pool. Mini fridge needed cleaning inside. TV reception very poor, impossible to watch anything without constant interruption from signal breakdown. Both these matters were reported to reception staff on Day 1 but nothing had been done when we left on Day 4. No shaving mirror in bathroom.

The staff were all helpful and polite. The rooms are very dark and old fashioned but I think there is going to be a refurbishment soon.

Perfect location. Staff went above and beyond to make our stay more memorable. Breakfast was amazing! Room felt a little bit dated but I am aware a lot of the rooms and in the process of being decorated

The main level and restaurant, lobby and bar area were extremely nice. The lady, Heather upon check in was a great asset to the hotel and a young lady who had just started in bar a few days before our stay was also one of their greatest assets. Lunch was very good. The public relations dies a great job on room to make you feel welcome and special. Room was very small, lamp by bed could not be turned off unless you undid the light bulb. They came to fix it, but took it away and did not replace. The hot water in sink did not work they came twice to fix it, but the fix left us with hot water that went on but then turned itself off. The mattress on bed had some kind of topper that appeared to be very cheap.

We have stated here each summer for the last 5 years. We love the location, the welcoming feel and the staff. Unfortunately we had a bad experience this time. Our daughter’s room had water coming from the ceiling so we’re moved to the room next door. The following day water was then dripping through the bathroom lights in that room! So yes… you guessed it… we had to pack up and move again. The corridor really smelled of sewerage. Emily the Mgr was amazing though and very sweet. She ensured our girls were safe and treated them to a basket of goods in their new room. The staff make this hotel but they are fighting a battle with the state of the rooms and refurbishment requirements currently. When we first arrived, Our room wasn’t up to standard (bath was falling apart) so we were kindly upgraded. Nice room but the air con wasn’t fully functioning. At check-out we weren’t offered any money back for the 5 room changes. Next summer I’m not sure we will come back, which is a shame.
