No glasses to drink from, no privacy in the room, it's like a maze to get to your room, shower had mold in the walls and no nightstand to put your things on other than the bed platform itself.

    The concept

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

The AC did not work and when we got there they sold our room and they put us in a new room with no AC then they move us again to another room with AC and then they next day they told us we have to leave that room because it’s for someone else and they downgraded us it was horrible

The room had everything I needed and was clean and comfortable. Location great. The lack of staff available to help at check-in. Overpriced early check-in (very costly on a per-hour basis). The corridors were like a set from a horror movie, the decor and the lighting made it dark and creepy. It was so dark, I couldn’t read the signs. I think I would find it hard to find my way out in an emergency.

This is a good budget option for staying in central London. The facilities are basic but comfortable enough when you're spending most of your time outside the room. The checkin process was easy enough. Could use some other touches to make it feel less of a cheap experience. We didn't get hand towels or a hair dryer in our room. The thermostat was not adjustable despite the controls in the room making you think so. There was very little privacy including large gaps in the sliding door from the bathroom to the bed area and the handle to open and close it was literally a large hole. The whole wall to the bathroom was frosted glass so you can see and smell everything happening on the other side. I felt a bit nickel and dimed as early/late checkin was additional heavy fees and storing bags was with an unreasonable fee per item no matter the duration of time. It's a shame because I would be happy to recommend this windowless box room otherwise.

Location, cleanliness How uncomfortable the mattress was, I had an awful sleep, and woke up with a bad head . We have stayed here many of times, I’m not sure if there was a misunderstanding, As I booked for 2 adults and 2 children, presuming this would be either 2 doubles, or a a double and 2 singles, To discover we had 4 single beds, ? And unfortunately 2 off the sockets for 2 of the beds wasn’t working, They both had a black cross drawn on them, so not sure if these we due to be fixed, But surely if that was the case, that room shouldn’t have been available, as wasn’t a fully functional room. It’s a shame, as we do like the hotel, and normally I just book it with our shopping around.

    Allie for money

I am writing to formally complain about a deeply unpleasant stay at Zedwell Piccadilly Circus on the night of July 9, 2026. I booked and paid $401 for a room that was explicitly advertised as having air conditioning. This was not the case, and the resulting experience was unacceptable — made worse by the fact that this was meant to be a special occasion, a bachelorette party. Upon arriving at the room, we immediately noticed it was extremely hot and humid in the room with the AC unit not functioning at all. Compounding the issue, the room had no windows, meaning there was no natural airflow whatsoever. We reported the issue to staff shortly after check-in. We were told maintenance would be sent to fix it, and to reach out again if the problem persisted. Several hours later, upon returning to the room, the AC was still broken. We complained a second time and were told by a different staff member that the hotel was at 100% occupancy and that we should essentially manage as best we could, with a vague promise to “see what could be done.” By around 3:00 AM, unable to tolerate the heat any longer, we went back down to the front desk. The staff member on duty offered no apology whatsoever and simply stared at us blankly. He eventually brought up a single fan that barely produced any airflow, which one of my friends had to sleep directly in front of due to profuse sweating. None of us were able to sleep that night because of the heat. We began to feel physically unwell from the lack of airflow, and at one point had to prop open the hallway door for relief, only to find the hallway was hot as well. The heat had a serious impact on the bride’s experience in particular. She was sweating so profusely that she was unable to properly get ready, and her hair and outfit were ruined in the process, on what was supposed to be a memorable night for her.

The location of the hotel is the only thing that saved this place The hygiene of this place is horrendous. Aside from the fact they only clean every 4 days and you have to ask for any towels or trash bags you need (which sometimes they’ve told me they can’t give me because they’ve run out?) even when they do clean they don’t wipe anything the sink is disgusting the toilet doesn’t flush well and the floors are never wiped even when i had just entered the room the floor was dirty. I saw several bugs within my stay which i assume to be carpet beetles which tracks with the fact that the hotel is very unclean. I had an incident when my nose bled while i was asleep which made one of the pillows and the bed cover dirty i asked for them to be cleaned first time i was promised a cleaning and never got it i asked again and they had only changed the blanket and turned around the pillow like i wouldn’t see the blood when i turn it around? after asking a third time only then did they give me a new pillow. Not only are they stingy with their towels but they also won’t change the blankets or give you any extras even if you asked a staff member told me someone will be coming to give me an extra blanket and then no one showed up when i asked about it again the same thing happened where they told me they’ve run out? make that make sense. Ultimately a very disappointing experience I know what I was signing up for in terms of the room size and what’s available in the room so i won’t comment about that however the least they can do is clean the rooms. If you are staying with someone please keep in mind the bathroom provides no privacy and the shower leaks outside to the room sometimes.

    Location

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

There were limited staff. You could tell the parent company limited staff to save on money and it just didn’t have a high level of customer service. The room was fine and location was great. We asked for two pillows and despite our efforts, they were never delivered.

    bathroom small

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

The room was incredibly small and the staff quite unhelpful.

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

The rooms look nice but are wayyyy too minimal. They need to have something we can put our my stuff on that's not just the floor. Even just a bench would be nice. There is nowhere to out your toiletries in the bathroom besides and very very small shelf under the sink, and if you're not going to have more shelving or countertops please provide more hooks then at least. ALSO the hotel shares the same building/walls as a club/lounge that is open EVERY NIGHT till 3am, it might not bother some people but the vibrations from the music/bass is not pleasant.

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

Ideal location Room was quite small, and no windows but worth it due to location

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

Very convenient location. The hotel was really quiet. There weren't any furniture in the room except beds.
