Location near King Cross . Friendly staff Outdated. Not well kept. Old everything. It has not been updated since the 80s.

I was on the hunt for the perfect place to stay for the weekend, excited to attend the ever-popular and iconic LGB Alliance Conference, plus I had a theatre booking and a zoo visit on the agenda. After several enjoyable stays at Central Station, I knew I couldn’t go wrong with a return visit. I arrived in London early, and the hotel staff were incredibly accommodating—they kindly stored my suitcase while I ventured out for a bite to eat. Upon my return, the well-stocked bar was buzzing, and checking in was a breeze. The staff greeted me with warm smiles, and my double room was everything I hoped for: spacious, clean, and just as inviting as I remembered. Over the course of my four-night stay, I found plenty to fill my days in London. The bed was a dream—large and oh-so-comfy—ensuring I caught plenty of restful sleep each night. The bar really impressed me; not only was it well-stocked, but the staff also went the extra mile to serve up delicious food that made my evenings complete. While some patrons at the pub seemed a bit standoffish as usual, I did manage to strike up a conversation with a couple of friendly souls. Overall, my stay was a delightful experience, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Good location for St Pancras station, comfortable bed, and did the job for one night stay. No wifi access in the room, the shower filled with water very quickly and didn't drain well. No soap provided for shower.

Perfect location, only minutes walk from Kings Cross station. Cozy room. Good value. Friendly staff. There's no lift so it'd better not to take too much luggage

Just a stone's throw from King's Cross Station, this hotel offers unbeatable convenience for travellers. However, as a budget hotel, it comes with its quirks. Upon arrival, I found there was no reception; instead, you ring a bell and wait for someone to greet you. Admittedly, I had to wait a bit longer than expected for assistance. The hotel itself seems to be crying out for a makeover—especially with a recent roof leak that hasn't helped the ambience. My single room was snug and had a cosy feel, but it could definitely benefit from a thorough cleaning. On the plus side, I did appreciate the tea and coffee-making facilities, a TV, and even an ironing board with an iron, which is a nice touch. The pub on-site is well-stocked, and some of the bar staff were friendly, but I found the atmosphere a bit stifling. The patrons had a knack for keeping to themselves, making it tough for someone like me to strike up a conversation and connect with others. With karaoke on both nights, I realised that this type of entertainment didn't quite resonate with me; I long for the vibrant performances that filled the space before the pandemic. When it came to dining, I ordered a meal on my first night. Even with a 20% discount, the £30 I spent on appetisers and a main course felt steep, especially considering the food quality. Both the starters and the burger were overly greasy and lacked flavour—looking back, I really should have sent them back to the kitchen. It's interesting how Central Station attracts a unique crowd—one that can feel oddly exclusive. If you're not part of their inner circle, it can be a lonely experience. I really wish management would take steps to address this atmosphere, as it could transform the venue into a warmer and more inviting place for everyone.

Clean and close to the train station, friendly welcome and the pub downstairs was a nice surprise

Because the building is old, there’s no elevator, but the staff was happy to bring my suitcases up and down.

I have stayed at the Central station for the past 3 years and absolutely love the place. The first reason is the location. 5mn walk from St Pancras. I always book the double room with ensuite bathroom. Yes, the bathroom is small but for me, it is absolutely fine. The bed is comfy and this year, when I arrived, it was at the peak of the "Heat wave". There was a fan in the room that helped. The staff is friendly and efficient. If you are looking for a modern building, look elsewhere as the stairs are steep (and there is no lift-it is a listed building) but for me, I love the relaxed atmosphere and the rooms are comfy and absolutely fit for purpose. Friendly staff We booked a large double with ensuite. W were given a small double with private bathroom. Complained to friendly manager who gave apologies and bought me a drink

The room I had was comfortable and quiet. Shared bath was clean. Location was great for my needs. Confusing check-in. Pub or hotel? Both? Leaky roof.
