Everything, location, cleanliness, breakfast, most of the staff One receptionist was a bit snooty but otherwise staff were really good - a perfect stay

Overall a comfortable and pleasant stay overnight. Room service staff and concierge staff were helpful and so lovely. Room very comfy (king deluxe). Great coffee machine and tea/coffee facilities. Fridge was so helpful. We had room service due to my earlier surgery and food was excellent. Outside hotel appearance needs upkeep but inside is really lovely. Very opposite visually. Reception staff I found very smartly dressed but curt and not very helpful. We arrived early for my surgery and left our case. Concierge were so helpful and stepped forward as soon as we arrived by taxi. The Receptionist gave us no details on the hotel itself at all after we checked in and confirmed all was paid apart from that we could fetch the key at 3pm. No details on restaurants; breakfast; gym; or any facilities at all. We had to ask for somewhere we could get a coffee and she just pointed. No information offered at all. No-one available to serve a drink there anyway until 20 minutes later when we had to flag someone down. It’s a shame as it doesn’t give a good first impression once you get past the concierge. A receptionist I would expect to be more forthcoming and much friendlier when inviting guests to the hotel. We were also woken at 11:30pm by a phone call from reception saying we hadn’t paid for a drink at the bar 20 minutes prior and we need to come down and pay our bill. We were both confused and half asleep asking each other if one of us had gone to the bar!!Then suddenly she said oh sorry wrong room number. Mistakes happen but it was disappointing as we took ages to fall asleep again.

Buffet breakfast included. Water and fridge in rooms. Air conditioning. Handy for public transport. Hotel could save on water and energy by not changing towels and bedding every day. Not a criticism.

This place is well located and good value for money. Make sure you get a deluxe room since they are generally refurbished but overall there is a big variety of rooms which is a negative. Breakfast is also very good value. Service is generally friendly and efficient. Would return but a very positive view has been tarnished which is sad. When we arrived, which was well after 3pm, the room was not ready but there was no apology. The receptionist told us he was trying to get us a very special room even though the truth was there was no room ready. He then placed us in a low floor room, much smaller than what we usually get and with no view - hardly a special room! I then complained and was moved quickly which is good but I wish the receptionist stopped treating guests like idiots and basically lies to them. Better to say there are delays in housekeeping and don’t promise a special room and then put guests in the worst rooms.

Good and staff After going for a walk in the morning I couldn’t get back in my room, the keys didn’t work
-
Well located, clean, spacious and beds are comfortable Renovation of furniture would be welcome No charging spots near beds
-
I like the location and that it is clean The upper floors are in serious need of renovation of furniture, walls… the closet was even smelly, could not leave clothes inside. Walls are thin and you hear quite a lot of what goes on outside the room

Location Room size Room location Staff ignoring how room was unsafe Staff ignoring repeated request A regular customer should be treated better
-
Interactions with reception, concierge and restaurant staff Size of the room and lack of walk in shower. Couldn’t reserve parking spot. Why not allow guests to pay parking charge upfront that then secures a bay.

Toasted ham and cheese sourdough sandwiches! And lovely staff. Would be nice to have smaller cheaper breakfast options.

The whole vibe of the hotel. The staff were very helpful and they even remembered me emailing them asking to reserve a table for supper. There was so much choice at breakfast Nothing
