Conveniently located by King's Cross station. Check-in was easy enough and flexible to accommodate late check-ins. The Duty Manager essentially lied to us. We booked the hotel knowing there was AC during the heat wave. There was no AC. We spoke with her, and she told us that she would activate it in our room. We left for a couple of hours, and when we came back, we noticed that the AC was not on. So, we went down again to speak with her. She offered us an ice bucket, that immediately began melting once brought up to the room (and of course it did nothing to address the heat). She offered a refund if we emailed an address, but then said she could not offer a full refund after we had sent the email.

Location Dear Hotel Management, I am writing to submit a formal complaint regarding my stay at your hotel from 5 July to 8 July and to request a full refund due to the unacceptable experience my family and I had. The main issue throughout our stay was the failure to provide a functioning air conditioning system. Air conditioning is a basic and essential service included in the price of the room. Despite reporting the issue immediately and repeatedly requesting assistance, the problem was never resolved during our stay. 5 July – First night After checking in, I reported only two issues to your staff: the air conditioning was not working and one of the power plugs was not working. A staff member came to the room to investigate. He switched the room’s control box off and on, after which the power plug started working. This confirmed that the plug was not working before he reset the control box. However, the air conditioning was still not working. What I found unacceptable was that the staff member then accused me of complaining that the touch control buttons were not working. I never reported this issue. I only reported the air conditioning and the power plug. I told him not to put words in my mouth and not to accuse me of reporting something I never mentioned so staff need to not get into argument and be rude to customers just to get off the hock and just trying to blame the customer as this isn’t a classy treatment at all. Because I was unhappy with the way the situation was being handled, I asked him to take me to the manager. He disappeared for approximately five minutes and then returned saying that the manager was not there. Instead of allowing me to speak with the manager or providing a proper solution, he gave me a paper with an email address to submit a complaint regarding the air conditioning. He then gave me a fan and assured me that maintenance would come the following morning. 6 July – Second night The following morning, no maintenance came as promised.

Close to the station, AC There was an enormous queue at check-in because the self check-in system doesn’t really work, so the wait was long. Rooms are tiny.. feels like being in a shoe box

I booked this hotel as we were getting the Eurostar from St Pancras early on Saturday morning and wanted something within walking distance of the station that wasn't mega expensive. The Hub fit the bill. And I'll be honest I wasn't expecting a great deal. But when we arrived and checked in I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel bar was really nice and served food and drinks 24/7. there was also complimentary tea & coffee available 24/7. Whilst the room was small, it had everything you needed. A comfortable double bed, a good shower, good storage space, a chair, a tucked away area to hang clothes, a hairdryer and a fan was set up in the room too. There was air con but it wasn't the most effective air con. But the fan was great. We ate in the bar in the evening, and the Pizza was nice. Overall the room & the hotel were much better than I was expecting. And I would 100% stay here again next time we have a early morning train. There were 2 of us in the room, but you only get 1 bottle of water & 1 bath towel. Not a major issue obviously, we just had to go down & ask for another towel. But the staff are trying to check everyone in & it took a while to get one. There are self check in machines, but they didn't work, so we all had to queue to get checked in at the desk anyway.

Fantastic location. Clean, well-designed room, perfect for a single traveler. Instant hot water, nice cold air conditioning, comfortable bed, yummy breakfast options, super friendly and helpful staff. That I can't stay longer!

We chose the place for the location (easy access to public transport and walkable to local sights) and it was great for that. The room was small but was very well-equipped, very clean and comfortable. It also felt very safe and secure. The location in general is pretty quiet, with not much traffic, and as our window looked into the central light well, our room was super quiet. Breakfast in the restaurant was very good with lots of variety and excellent value - clearly popular with other guests too. Overall the place was very good value for London and we enjoyed walks to the Temple and also to the Coal Yard canal-side development nearby. Also several good small restaurants nearby. Room was a bit too cramped when there are suitcases as well as people. Minor issue.

Disappointed! the worst experience I had ever! the women in reception rude and aggressive! all the time huge queue on reception bc they didn’t properly do them duty/work! Disgusting service! Also they don’t provide tissues, coffee, tea, caps and basic things! even cleaning all the time I was requesting bc cleaners never came! Air conditioner doesn’t work for few days! Horrible hotel!

Convenient, clean, and comfortable

Great location, comfortable beds Staff veer from those who are really friendly and helpful at one end to those who are a little bit rude on the other!

Breakfast and location were the BEST! Design was great to make good use of limited space. Very inviting and spacious on the ground floor for a drink, a place to relax and gather, and of course breakfast. Nice energy with good music, nearby restrooms, good lighting, and lots of windows. We missed some of the typical room amenities--coffee, tissues, more than one towel, etc that were likely eliminated due to limited space.

Breakfast was good. Air conditioning not working. Room ready for 1 person not for 2 people as booked. Not professional staff, understaffed.

Everything All good

I had a room on level -2. Hotel response: I should have said I wanted an upstairs room when booking. The room had no (!) windows. Hotel response: I should have said I wanted a room with windows when booking. No room service. Hotel response: I should have said I wanted room service when checking in. All a bit hard to guess, as those are fairly standard, especially for a 'superior' room…

Great affordable option close to Kings Cross. The rooms are small but comfortable and have everything you need for a short stay. The staff was helpful and I was able to check in early and check out late to accommodate my onwards travel.

Food was good..... often very busy. Coffee and toast muffin selection was great. One coffee machine caused a line up. Was not setup for 2 persons meaning towels.. Having to ask for towels with a four day stay. AC unit was not that great. Overall size is tight. Bathroom sink was spray only.

No towels. Terribly long lines for coffee and breakfast.

Good location Messy entrance, very small spaces, weird smell and not too clean.
