Great hotel. This is my go-to hotel when traveling to London for work.

Perfect location across from beautiful Russell Square. It’s within walking distance of the British Museum and even of Trafalgar Square if you’re feeling energetic. The Tube station is just around the corner. The staff was very pleasant and the room large by London standards with a great bathroom. Breakfast was a bit limited and pricier than what you can find elsewhere, but the food, the setting, and the service were all good. There was no chair in the room, only a polyurethane stool of some sort. The reception is downstairs in the basement so it sometimes felt like an apartment hotel.

The cleaning service came in every day and also restocked the coffee and tea supplies, including two sets of delicious cookies. Everyone on the staff was extremely kind and even left us a bottle of wine and chocolates for my partner’s birthday. I would like to specifically thank Anas, who was very kind and even offered to come to our room personally to help us with the TV. The hotel itself is in a very central location: just a 1-minute walk from an Underground station, Pret A Manger, Tesco, and a really nice park where you can sit and relax. We would definitely come back to this hotel! The only downside was the noise from the street, but it wasn’t very loud. We had the windows open, yet keeping them closed would probably make it completely fine.

Location and staff are excellent. Easy travel to anywhere in London. Tube and bus stations abound. Plenty of dining options from casual to fine within a ten minute walk.

I liked the easy check-in, on a main street but felt quiet, private and safe. I appreciated the size of the rooms and bathrooms. I liked the coffee/teas/good water all complimentary and the cheeky glass of wine poured upon arrival after a long travel day. There was an odd smell in elevator, hallway and reception - like strong room spray trying to mask a sewage problem.
-
I really wanted to like this hotel but the bed and pillows were so uncomfortable that I didn’t sleep to two nights. The street noise didn’t help either. I came to London for an important work trip and unfortunately lack of sleep was a real problem.

Amazing staff, friendly, helpful and welcoming. Room was clean, large and well stocked. Free bottle of wine was very much appreciated. Nothing was too much trouble Nothing.

The hotel was very conveniently located and the room size was great! Everything was spacious and comfortable, including a walk-in closet and a bathroom with floor heating and a nice bathtub. The bar downstairs was quite cozy and open late. The bed or the mattress wasn't really comfortable, and I couldn't figure out how to make the AC cool down the room for sleeping (but opening the windows solved the issue). It's a bit awkward that the reception is located in the basement, but that's really minor. Otherwise no complaints!

Lovely, quieter neighborhood, but still with a lively student community nearby Room is on the smaller side, but this is typical in London

Charming. Unpretentious but attention to detail and incredibly pleasant furnishings particularly in the library bar. Friendly helpful staff.

Wonderful hotel. The best of our trip. Great location to buses and the tube. Particularly enjoyed the kitchen to fix breakfast for an early tour. Excellent service. Staff very helpful in addressing your needs. Nothing

Staff was excellent

the cleanliness, the hospitality of the staff and hotel location the hotel size is small, and the hotel receptionist is located in the basement

The location of the hotel is simply wonderful. The staff were very polite, friendly, and always ready to help if I had any questions. The toiletries were of good quality, and there were disposable slippers, a bathrobe – everything was provided. The room had coffee, a nice view from the window, a comfortable bed, and a TV. Overall, it was very comfortable to stay there There were a couple of issues during our stay. The air conditioning wasn’t working properly, and since we arrived on particularly hot days, there were moments when it felt quite warm in the room. However, by the end of our stay, the AC was fixed. Another small problem was that a lamp short-circuited and the electricity went out in our room, but this was resolved rather quickly, so I don’t consider it a major issue. These are the only downsides we experienced

Room was very nice, very clean. The bed was big and very comfortable (we had the economy room). Very close to the tube, a lot of attractions within walking distance. Soundproofing wasn't great but it didn't bother us

Lovely hotel right across from Russell Square, right near the tube and within walking distance of Covent Garden and the Strand. The rooms were bright and spacious, and the bathroom was large. I appreciated the boutique hotel vibe. It was very hot in London when I was there, and unfortunately there was a glitch with the a/c in our room - it was blowing out hot air instead of cold. It was 10:30 at night, my daughter and I were both sick, and there were no other vacant rooms in the hotel. So the property manager called a nearby hotel, arranged a room there, and personally walked us to the new hotel. It was such a thoughtful and kind response to the problem.

Excellent location. Very convenient to bus and underground. Staff very helpful and friendly. Very comfortable reception area where you could always get a cup of tea . Room was good size and very clean. Price was very reasonable. I’d go back . Nothing! I stayed six nights and was very pleased the whole time.
