Dann Carlton Medellin Hotel

The location in El Poblado is excellent. The room was clean with a good functioning A/C. The breakfast. The food was repetitive no variety and the quality was not that great. There was a lack of attention to the buffet and the waiters.

Great location, layout , the pool & fitness center was big plus. The restaurant and outdoor bar were wonderful. Be honest nothing cut my attention to say i didn’t like this property for any reason.

Las habitaciones necesitan más aseo. Los pisos de las camas están completamente sucios por debajo y no rellenan el mini bar diariamente ni la nevera.

Well located. You can go walking to explore the neighborhood. Several good restaurants nearby. The coffee served in the breakfast is not good. If you're in Colombia you expect to have good coffee.

I checked in late around 2am and in the morning there was a lot of kids and people in the hallway and was very disturbing. After ordering room service for breakfast we were able to get some rest. Due to the early disturbance we were very tired and checked out at 1:30 PM. When I approached the counter for check out the male receptionist was very rude and demanded I pay extra for the hour an half checkout delay. I had spoken to someone at reception earlier that morning to inform I was going to be a bit late for checkout and they told me there was no issue. After explaining this to the male receptionist, he became confrontational and unprofessional. After visiting this hotel for more than 10 years I’ve never had an issue checking out a bit late. I don’t know if the guy is new or was having a bad day but it definitely was very disappointing.

Great Location, the property has a great restaurant /bar if you don’t want to look around, the pool, spa and workout area it is great. Also near to a lot of commercial locations to eat, shop, pharmacies, nightlife if you are looking for something similar or daytime exploring a few shopping centers near. For those that smoke it is a smoke free hotel, but you can smoke outside a few steps away from the entrance where the taxis park. As for me I am a cigar smoker, I then searched and found a cigar lounge walking distance called Absolute Cigar and a few other restaurants that you can smoke as well as hookah’s. Cleanliness, the staff very appreciative and attentive to assist you in anything at any time.

Pool with broken tiles and mold. The daughter cut herself, and this was reported to the hotel, which was not aware while this was clearly visible.

Imponen su ley sobre los clientes: bajé a desayunar antes de las 7 am, sin cartera ni nada, claramente volvería a la habitación y no dejé signos en la puerta, sin embargo una persona entró a mi habitación y limpió todo, movió mis cosas, tenía la caja abierta, mis cosas sobre la cama, el piso estaba mojado cuando subí. Mi partner me dijo que estaba en el baño con la puerta abierta y se metieron también a la habitación. -No tuvieron en cuenta las indicaciones del check para facturación y después fue un problema. -Avisé dos veces al botones que no tocara una maleta que venía dañada porque podría no entrar una palanca que me impedía entrar al avión y también pasaron por encima de eso, trabaron la palanca y tuve un momento de angustia. Ante el error su actitud fue altiva.

Breakfast, room, location checking in. Asked for specific room, our 4th weeklong visit in 4 months, got a problematic room first night (zero view)

It looks like it used to be a 5-star hotel, but now it feels somewhat outdated. The towels were not clean and the bathroom was quite basic. We expected a higher standard given the hotel's reputation. Overall, our stay was okay, but it did not meet our expectations.
