Hotel El Ejecutivo by Reforma Avenue

Location.

It was a good location, staff were very welcoming and polite and friendly. Everything is old, towels, sheets, pillows, furniture, tv, bed set, windows curtains were ripped. They need to upgrade everything in the room, even toilet paper was the cheap one, they need to remodel the rooms, it’s ok if the prices go higher but the rooms need upgrades, and it’s too bad that they don’t do it because the location is great and staff are awesome.

It is well located in the city and there are good restaurants nearby. The staff was excellent: always friendly, helpful and responsive. We had maintenance problems that they fixed immediately. The bed was decent. The hotel is spartan. The decor is harsh - unpleasant, bright, cold blue LED lights and cold white painted walls. Even a renovated room has areas that were poorly finished (behind the bathroom door) and hard to clean. It was difficult to regulate the air con. We could hear our neighbours through the walls. We thought the breakfast buffet was overpriced and quality was average.

Location, large room. Soap and shampoo provided. Good in room temperature control. Option for Lots of noise from other guests. Seemed little sound isolation between rooms or between room and hallway

Shampoo and soap are really bad. Everytime our room got cleaned, we received less towels. Missing the hands or floor one.

The room wasn't ready at 6 pm, we cancelled

The only redeeming features of this hotel are (i) the location (close to nice neighbourhoods of Juarez and Rome Norte and round the corner from Reforma) and (ii) the staff, particularly Jenny and Valentino, who helped me make a very uncomfortable room slightly less uncomfortable, and provided great service with a smile. The hotel is extremely run down and falling apart - smell of damp; ceiling caved in in the ground floor toilet, decor very tired. And in my room specifically the curtains were too short for the window so they let in a huge amount of light. The bathroom was old and falling apart, rusting and the shower looked like a prison shower head. Lighting was harsh white light, making the room look like a hospital ward. Thank goodness I only booked one night and spent very little time in the room / hotel at all.

Very nice, spacious room, with balcony. Great buffet breakfast.
