Mona Montreux

The room is comfortable, close to the Lake with Great Lake view. I also like the place in the lobby where the hotel offers beverages, coffee, tea, pop corn and some snacks. The only inconvenience is that we need to carry the luggage and walk for about 5-10 minutes. Good thing is that it is downhill. For uphill to the Main Station, there is an elevator across the street for which we can use (walk for about 2-3 minutes). All good.

We LOVED Mona! We stayed for the Montreaux Jazz Festival and the property is perfectly located right in the middle of the street vendors, and about 5 minutes from the main venues. The room was cute, very comfortable, and had a gorgeous view!

There were a few cons - the Wifi was not very good, the AC shot out hot air into the small balcony which was awful given the heatwave but I would just turn off the AC when I wanted to sit out there (I was just happy the hotel had AC, though!), when I checked in, my room wasn't ready yet which was fine as I was early but the woman gave me no information about the hotel and when I went to get my key later neither did that staff member. I made a comment to her and she apologized and said she assumed I would have been told everything earlier and gave me full detail.

Beautiful views and location Nothing

Elevators are tiny and were not always clean. I informed the front desk that someone had spilled greasy popcorn in one of the elevators, and several hours later it still had not been cleaned up.

We arrived in Montreux during extremely high temperatures, and the city was also very busy because of the jazz event taking place in July, so it probably was not the best moment for us to fully appreciate the beauty of the city. That said, the hotel made our stay much more comfortable. The AC, the cozy room, and the complimentary drinks were definitely highlights and made everything much more pleasant. The cleanliness was also great. And the staff, what can I say? They were so friendly, helpful, and willing to assist with anything we needed. That really made a difference during our stay. -

So close to train station. Gorgeous view. Air conditioned!! Friendly and HELPFUL staff. Free coffee, popcorn, in room bar, city transport and sites discounts, just a great place to stay. The elevators were really small.

Staff were fantastic. Room was large, comfortable with great views. 5 minute walk to trains. Huge breakfast. Would definitely stay there again!! Everything was better than expected.

Absolutely everything was perfect. The hotel was amazing and you cannot beat montreux It’s rare there is nothing. It was perfect

It's right on the lake and the views from the rooms were amazing. Very pricey but probably typical for the area. Bathroom is tiny, sitting on the toilet would be a challenge for a large person.

Location and staff. Although the hotel was renovated in 2023, the room still felt very outdated, more like a motel than a 4-star hotel. The curtains were cheap and were too narrow to cover the entire window. I would not recommend the hotel restaurant. It was overpriced, and although the ingredients were fresh, the food was poorly prepared.

The location is good and they have a 24 hrs reception The bathtub is very high

The view and closeness to the lake. The hotel staff are very nice and helpful. Difficulties to transport large luggages from Montreux train station to the hotel, as there are downhill steps with no elevator. There is escalator but only running upward. Going from hotel to the train station is not a problem.
