Of course we loved the Freddie theme, the photos, the paintings and other art. I took the stairs from the top to the bottom so I could see all of the different pieces honoring Freddie. Very nice. The young man who checked us in was friendly and helpful. The other front desk staff were also helpful and very nice. The beds were pretty comfortable. The pillow situation needs attention. The bathroom had a medicine cabinet to store things like toothbrushes and hairbrushes. That was nice as it kept clutter off the sink. The bathroom was so big we were able to store a wheelchair inside and out of the way. The room itself was spacious but the layout was not very functional. The room feels very industrial, not very warm or welcoming. Our shower drain was clogged, which they did come fix right away. Are washcloths just not a thing in Europe? This was the second hotel of our stay that did not have any. They also have a one size fits all handwash body wash and shampoo. Not good for long thick hair. If you're staying here, pack your own. The lighting was terrible, we had to move things around so we had lighting. There is no overhead lighting in the room, not all the plugs worked. The lack of lighting is why I believe I left a cosmetics bag behind- I think it was on the bed. When I discovered that I left it I called, and they told me to come get or or have someone come get it (I was in Paris when I realized I left it). Completely unwilling to help me at all. They suggested I have a courier come get it and ship it back to the US. There are some things in there that I did not plan to have to part with. Had they called me when it was found, I was still in Switzerland for a few days, maybe they would have sent it to me. I wish they had called me but they did not. The whole hotel just felt like an institution and not lodging. I know the hotel is used like dorms for students, and I am sure it is perfect for that, and I love that the hotel hosts students. The breakfast was not included in the stay, it was $18 per person and it was terrible. It is spread out very weirdly across the room, the coffee machines made coffee, not good coffee, but coffee. I would not recommend the breakfast at all. The location is very nice- I do recommend that staff ask about mobility issues and advise that there are escalators and elevators for this- I spend an hour helping my friend walk down the very very steep incline from the hotel as I did not know about those options. (Follow the blue lines!)

Big, modern rooms which good facilities. Really friendly and helpful staff who went above and beyond to help when our phone charger wouldn't work.

I love that it was right next to the train station. We stay just for one night and so it was the best thing that we did. It’s also close to the city center. The neighborhood was safe but seem just a lil sketchy due to all of the graffiti in the neighborhood. Did not come across anyone that I was nervous about though.

Good Location

Maria at the front desk was totally amazing and probably the most helpful person in our entire trip to Switzerland and France. If we come back again, we’ll definitely stay at this hotel because it was fun as well.

Right by the station .. it’s a lovely location . The staff is extremely helpful

I was hoping there would be more Freddy Mercury pictures in the rooms. No outlets easily accessible by the bed. No charging stations in the room.

closeness to the train station

Location: It's located right on the platform of the station. No hassles in carrying the luggage. The property is pretty, clean, and tidy. Staff were welcoming, and they managed to store the luggage at checkout. Rooms and restrooms were spacious. and comfortable. Unable to use the TV, but I didn't mind much. Power plug points were very less and so unable to charge multiple devices. Couldn't find iron box

The staff, especially the Asst. Manager, Maddie, was very friendly and helpful. The lake and mountain view from the room balcony was stunning. The location is great, close to the train station, the lake, and restaurants. There's plenty of closet, so if you're staying for a few nights, it's ideal because you can take out your stuff from the luggage and arrange them. I just wish that there's an electric socket near the bed ( but there's enough by the desks)

Excellent location, clean room Not even a bowl for my dog, for a fairly high extra cost

Everything, we even had a breakfast free to our stay. Had a beautiful room with a balcony what a view. The room was massive with long desk with 2 chairs. Big bathroom luxury, bed was so comfortable didn’t want to leave it. Pity we were only staying one night. We will come stay again , fitted well with mini fridge which is a bonus . Xx 10/10 There wasn’t any

Super friendly and welcoming staff. Great breakfast. Lovely town. Very easy to find and get around. I wasn’t able to get early check in but it was the first day of the season they were open so it felt like they had some kinks to work out. They held my bags which was nice. The rooms are sparse but I think I think that is reflected in the rate. I wish the breakfast was a bit earlier- starts at 7.

This hotel is well-located, the bed is comfortable, and it offers a decent breakfast buffet. We stayed in one of the suites. Upon arrival, the room was very hot, which was very uncomfortable since our stay was in July. The hotel claims that it is equipped with centralized ventilation designed to maintain a comfortable indoor climate throughout the building. While this may be effective in winter, it clearly did not work during the summer. We had to request Fans and place them around the bed to try to stay comfortable. I also asked for hair conditioner, which was displayed at the main desk, but it was not available. Additionally, we left a valuable item in the room when checking out. I requested assistance in arranging for the item to be delivered to our next hotel in Grindelwald, where we planned to stay for five days. The staff was unable to help me with this request.
