Youth Hostel Montreux

there was no a/c and it was very hot.

It was a quite and clean space where i imediately felt safe and comfortable, the perfect location at the beautiful lake. Near the Busstation, close to Montreux, the Castle and Swimmingpool… I liked that i got to know many new people! I slept in the Womensdorm, which i actually liked but the sleeping habits where very different from all. I prefere darkness and tranquility, while others wanted to sleep with open windows… the train passes by and i heard it very loud when the window was open… so defenitely bring a sleeping mask and earplugs:)

I had to wait till 4 to check in. Breakfast, included, wasn't until 7:30 and I was walking on the Francigena and I wanted an early start. Expensive for a Youth Hostel.

I like the location best. The hostel is near the lake Geneva, which is very scenic. We liked the breakfast as well. The room is tiny. I had a little difficulty to open my luggage. But we just need a nice and clean space to take shower and sleep.

Open, loved the restroom right across the hall and a great breakfast. Also enjoyed it being on the lake front and a quick walk to Caste de Chillion and the Christmas Market.

Great stay at the Youth Hostel by the lake. Good facilities and nice breakfast. Easy walk to the town. Loved walking by the lake promenade with spectacular views of the mountains and the lake.

Was plenty of free rooms and we were 5 in a room

Room There is also no elevator to the second floor, which can be difficult if you have heavy luggage.

The location is fantastic, and is next to the beech, 30 seconds and you are in a romantic lakeside, i would definatly stay again when every i am travelling to montreux. The breakfast was nice as well, the staff at the reception was welcoming and lovely

The hostel is situated right next by the lake Leman, 15 minutes walking through promenade to Freddie Mercury statue. Very modern design of hostels, clean, with open spaces, great treatment of Lionel makes your stay easy and comfortable.Many bathrooms on each floor, clean and accessible in any hour of the day. Busy place, next to the railways, you can hear the first train passing, but it's not a big deal. Trains are part of Switzerland. Beds are okay, sheets clean. Complete breakfast.Good price value ?? Noisy common spaces during the weekend of Montreux celebration days in September. Not recommended for late sleepers. As it's a shared room with others, people are up from 6-7am running up and down. The train can disturb from 05:00 in the morning . Lockers don't work properly, from 6 lockers in a room work 3, luckily in Switzerland quite nobody steals, but it's a question of luck!

Breakfast was simple but good enough for me. Lake Geneva is right in front of the hostel and the view is absolutely amazing!!! It's one of the best view I've seen in Switzerland. Location is a bit challenging. Steep road and flight of stairs was truly exhausting. Not suitable for those with many luggage. I had a fire scare while checking in half-way. There were some issues with the solar panels on the rooftop and fire brigade+police all came to the hostel. I almost have to sleep on the street that night! Luckily everything turn out to be alright and resume to normal.

Clean, quiet, and comfortable. Good quality of breakfast. No towel for the shower and you had to make your own bed. You had to drop dirty bedding off by yourself before checking out. It is also a bit off the Montreux city.

Location, friendly stuffs It’s great for a short stop.
