The hotel is built on the banks of lake Geneva and lake-facing rooms have a small balcony offering breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding mountains. We loved the direct access to the Quai des Fleurs from the hotel garden. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was good & the breakfast room offered beautiful lake views. There are a few restaurants within 10 minutes walking distance from the hotel. There is no coffee machine or tea pot in the room.

Spectacular lakefront views. good location for visiting Montreux. Nothing to dislike.

I liked the receptionist’s. The view from the balcony. The old carpet. It was so thin it felt like walking on wood. The mattress was sooo hard it left me painful the next day. I asked if there was another room with a more comfortable bed. They did accommodate this, and the bed had more give, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the mattresses were 50 years old. Both of my rooms were clean and smelled ok. At night I was wandering around trying to find the front desk without success, it may have become a locked area at night. But I did come across several areas that had a terrible smell. I encountered the same smell occasionally on the city street. My guess is it’s the sewer.

A wonderful hotel approximately 15 minute walk from the center. The rooms have a marvelous view of the lake, and are good-sized. It has the charm of an older building with all the conveniences of a modern one. The staff i helpful and friendly. The hotel is in a peaceful location, and in addition, the rooms themselves are very quiet. There's no on-site parking. However, street parking is available and the hotel offers discounted parking cards for half-day and full-day. No negatives at all!

Impressive upmarket hotel in great location with large comfortable room. Best swimming pool of anywhere we've stayed. We had a room for 4. One of the tvs did not work (faulty aerial cable i think), no big deal. Food is via a posh restaurant. but no real bar food if you just want a quick bite to eat with the kids. Bed settee was not the most comfortable. we'd have preferred a pair of twin beds. Milk would be nice to have with the coffee machine.

Location, views on the lake, old charm. Walking distance to the Jazz Festival A bit run down, we heard the people upstairs walking around. A bit pricey considering the need for a face lift. Also not impressed by breakfast

the location, the balcony with a great view, the swimming pool The room was ok, but kind of old need some renovations! the TV didn't work, the bed lamps where not working properly, the minibar could have more diversity!

5th year in a row coming to this hotel. The view is amazing from every room, it is quiet, clean, big rooms, comfy beds and amazing staff. Special thanks to Stefan from the front desk who was kind, accomodating and helpful to an extend that has to be mentioned. We travel a lot and he was the best of the best. The hotel is built in 1920, i think, and is a historic landmark. But we loved that autentic feel and again...the biggest rooms and the breathtaking views

View was great Hard to negotiate getting to gym.

We liked the classic vintage feel of the hotel The room was a little plain, but we loved the balcony and the view.

Style and view Mattress and the smell in the bathroom

A little worn around the edges but allowed us to get the view at an affordable price so we were happy.

Fantastic location. Comfortable spacious room, with stunning views from the balcony. The pool facilities were excellent. Staff were very polite and helpful. Traditional style hotel with lovely period features. Dinner in the restaurant on our first evening was perfect. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room,

The room had a great location and was comfortable. The staff was exceptional - everyone was kind and helpful The furniture was old (the couch had one cushion ripped). We had to ask to get a living room lamp for the table. The hallway to our room always smelled musty and the carpets were old and stained.

no coffee/ tea in the room, very inconvenient
