Robert Treat Hotel

Good stay.

Gave me a room already occupied so walked into someone's room. I was assigned a new room but it didn't have enough towels or soap. Very noisy at night since the hotel is used for events and guests walk in and out of rooms all night ( I stayed on a weekend). Shuttle service and luggage storage was helpful.

Nice location with nice staff

The room was lacking in amenities. No water glasses or even plastic or paper cups. No spare toilet paper. No coffee maker or water kettle. There was a small refrigerator. For the price, I feel like there could have been a bit more. Don't get me wrong, this was not a bad hotel, it just needs some improvements.

The bed said it was a queen yet it felt like a full size bed very small. The rooms were small. It was semi clean. Not dirty but the lids on the lamps were dirty. We didn't have an iron in our room took a hour to get one once I called the front Dest. The only thing I appreciated was the shuttle to and from the hotel to Penn station. Next time I'll stay at double tree and spend a little more.

I loved the location, the inside restaurant the ease of parking in the dedicated hotel parking area. I loved the entire hotel cleanliness and help from front desk & housekeepers. I will definitely be returning.

This is not what I expected. The rooms are outdated, and the service provided by the parking attendant was terrible.

The staff did not alert us to the fact that they would be filming a movie in the hotel lobby and elevator while we were staying there, causing one of the two elevators to have to be used for the entire hotel.

Location was good. Bedding and bathroom seemed clean. Staff was dismissive. I was assured weeks ahead of time that we'd most likely be able to check in 30 mins early. If not, they'd hold our luggage. When I arrived 30 mins early, she didnt even check the system, she just said we had to wait 30 mins, which we couldn't because of our event. Then, she refused to hold our luggage because "the luggage area was full", none of which was warned when I had called. When we finally checked in later in the evening, the non-smoking room they gave us reeked of cigarette smoke. I reported it and just apologized and asked what I wanted. But we were running late for our dinner event. We had to sleep with the window open all night. The smell was awful.

The Robert Treat Hotel is an iconic hotel in Newark NJ. Stayed a night to attend a concert. The rooms are old and need updating, doors wouldn’t shut properly on cabinet. There were no cups or enough towels in room. The air conditioning stayed at freezing during most of the stay. I didn’t keep complaining because it was only a night… but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. This is a BW Hotel. You need to do better!

The rooms are clean but shower curtain was smelling mildew when I arrived. Parking lot is small and it was $47 for two nights if it’s full you’re out of luck. They have a huge dumpster taking up a lot of parking spaces. Cute and comfortable rooms

Room was dirty, homeless guy was sleeping in the gym, staff was unhelpful, cleaners were loud and woke us up daily. Would not recommend staying here.

Not good service , housekeeping not provide basics bathroom products
