I didn't like that there was a dead cockroach in the middle of the room on the first night. One of the big towels were stained. The floor and bathtub were slippery, and the bathtub doesn't drain very well. Had a pool of water when I got out after a shower.

Check-in was fast. Employee at the front desk was not noce or mean just matter of fact. Online said 525sq ft room , thinking thats kind of big gor a room with just double beds I asked was it really 500sq ft and I was told to "go in the room and see for yourself" , which it wasn’t. At checkout anyother Employee same matter of fact style, no smile or anything. The pool was nice but there was no pool towels out and person at front desk just kept monitoring in like we weren't supposed to be there so we didn't stay long. Lots of free parking and by a lot of food and store spots.

I stayed at this hotel for the weekend, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. The biggest issue was the amount of noise throughout my entire stay. I hardly got any sleep because there were constant noises coming from what sounded like people dropping, dragging, and rolling things around throughout the night and into the early morning hours. The noise was so frequent that it was nearly impossible to relax or get a full night of rest. There were also several instances where it sounded like someone was trying to open our hotel room door, which was unsettling and made it difficult to feel comfortable or secure. Unfortunately, the condition of the room itself also left a lot to be desired. The towels and bathcloths appeared dingy and worn, and they did not give the impression that they had been thoroughly cleaned or properly maintained. There were also visible stains on the bed sheets, which was especially concerning because cleanliness is one of the most basic expectations when staying at a hotel. Seeing stains on the bedding immediately made me question how thoroughly the room had been cleaned and prepared for our arrival. The bathroom also had a noticeable mildew-like smell. It was not an overwhelming odor, but it was strong enough to be noticeable and made the bathroom feel unclean and poorly maintained. Overall, the room gave the impression that it needed a much more thorough cleaning and maintenance check before being rented to guests. Another major concern was the lighting. One of the lamps had aluminum foil placed over the light bulb. This was extremely unusual and concerning. I have stayed in many hotels, but I have never encountered a lamp with aluminum foil around the bulb. It looked makeshift and did not give me confidence in the safety or maintenance of the room. This is something management should absolutely inspect and address. The television was another ongoing problem.

The room was dirty, found slices of old onion under the sofa, bed sheets weren’t clean, towels weren’t clean. Had to request all new stuff. Breakfast was just waffles and cereal and that’s it.

Don’t stay here. Housekeeping left towels from last ppl hanging in shower. Breakfast ends 2 hrs before checkout as if ppl aren’t getting in all times of nite. They don’t honor prices advertised. Indoor pool to cold to swim in. Highly disappointed in the Newport News City Center location. For an industry that charges full price at check-in, y’all dont cater to customers needs.

I liked the area it was located in * our room smelled like cigarettes the entire stay especially as soon as we opened the door * we had a super stained pillow that had to be taken to the front desk * grime and dirt all around the shower * the ac wasnt circulating well so most of our nights, we awoke because of the heat

Probably the dirtiest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. Floors super dirty, bedding had stains, wash cloths dingy, sofa stained, all surfaces sticky.
